The video walkthrough I found is in multiple parts. You will have to go through the parts to find where you are in the game - hopefully you will be able to figure out where you are.

You can find the first part here.

The second part is here.

And the third part is here.

And the fourth part is here.

Fifth part is here.

Sixth part is here.

Seventh part is here.

Eighth part is here.

Ninth part is here.

Tenth part is here.

Eleventh is here.

Twelfth is here.

And the last part is here.

The walkthrough does not say where the secret passage is, so it must be quite apparent when it is revealed. You can always watch the video walkthrough with the links I posted above if you are still having trouble with this part.

Yes, that sounds right to me, based upon what the walkthrough says.

Try looking at the video walkthrough too if you haven't already.

I also found another walkthrough here.

The walkthrough says:

Quote
A secret door will start to open, then close. You have to quickly put the small shovel into the opening to wedge it open.
If it closes, just push the tiles in sequence again; then wedge it open.

The second walkthrough that I posted the link to above says this:

Quote
Use the key on the lock and the painting will swing open, revealing a safe.
The combination to the safe is the number from the paper: 1565. To use the combination, click on each number in turn: 1, 5, 6, 5.
The dial will automatically turn when you click on the number.
If you get the combination wrong, the safe will just reset and you can start over.
Click on the safe to open it.

It sounds like you should have gotten the hammer from the parking lot previously.

Quote
Parking lot: Go right to the parking lot.

Van: Look inside the back of the van and see the crates. Use the key on the backdoor lock.

Enter and open the blue toolbox. Take the hammer and chisel.
