Earned cash with the vocabulary test but can’t find the purse or bag at the end or in the inventory— any ideas please— have I missed something?— regards— Peter

There should be a coin purse at the end of your inventory bar. You might need to scroll right and left in order to see it.

The walkthrough says:

Quote
Take the Icelandic word on the left and drop it right of the correct English word. Press submit button.

There are 4 rounds per game. Earn 600 kronir to buy things from the gift shop.

Did you do all four rounds? I just replayed this part of the game to verify. I submitted my answers on four different rounds; after that, the coin purse with the money I had won appeared in my inventory. You can get up to 600 kronir after four rounds if all your answers are correct.

Help- I’m stuck again.
In the dinghy and correctly put the cables together but nothing happens.
I am sure that I have followed the walkthrough to the letter except I cannot fathom the meals— is that essential and could that be the reason?
sorry to be an old bore—Peter

Doing the meals is entirely optional in the game and just another way to earn money. Thankfully this is the case as a lot of us could not make heads or tails of it, even with the walkthrough. grin

As for the dinghy, It could be that the way you are placing the cables is the problem. Try looking at this video walkthrough here.

Thanks again Marian— I placed the cables correctly but notice that I should have gone back to Soren.I missed somewhere that “the motor needs to be fixed” so that must be my mistake.
I will be back to it tomorrow with high hopes.- regards- Peter

As I recall, you have to get the pamphlet from Soren and read the section “Dinged Dinghies.” You must also purchase the “Iceland at a Glance” book from the gift shop in order to understand Icelandic numbers. Then you should be able to fix the dinghy.

Hi Marian.”-Eureka”.
As Eric Morecombe would say “I know all the notes but not necessarily in the right order” (English sitcom joke)
I did put them right but left the volts on the left hand side— trust me.
I wii now give you a bit of peace but don’t hold your breath— Peter

I’m back again— surprise,surprise.
I’ve got the circle from the box in the captains quarters,
I’ve pressed 11,14,26, and 35– nothing happens— the triangles do not go in.
What have I not done?
Help please- old Peter

Hi Peter,

Is this the part of the game you are having trouble with? I remember that if you haven't looked at certain things prior to this, the puzzle in question will not be solved. Watch this video and see if it helps you out.

Hi, old Peter, from old Draclvr! Since I haven't played the game, the only thing I can suggest is that you have somehow missed something. Any chance of going back through the walkthrough and checking. I suggested to another player to print off the walkthrough and cross off each item as you do it so it will be easy to go back and see if you missed something.

Thank you both for your usual helpful advice.
I have been backwards and forwards so many times that even my mouse is exhausted.
I’m Still very much out of sync and “all at sea”
However, there is a clue in Marian’s video.
I have the locator but it does not react on the map.
So I will have to work backwards from that.
If that helps , please let me know because my eyes are almost in different directions,
If If I get there first I let you rest— for now.
Many regards- Peter

That sounds like a good plan, Peter. It has been a long time since I have played this game, but I believe that Nancy has to recognize/see certain things prior to this part in order for the game to recognize this puzzle as having been solved. Good luck!
