Oh look, it's the Cookie Monster's grandma checking the flyer for a bakery sale.

Some people will do anything to access the free medical care offered by the local animal welfare centre.

In Batesian mimicry, an overtly vulnernable creature takes on the guise of a noxious, toxic, or otherwise dangerous one. For instance, my aunt Augusta (P. innocens) can, with the swift addition of a pair of sunglasses and the slightest tilt of her head, flawlessly imitate a Karen, and if threatened, may even ask to speak with a manager.

Such an affectation may seem unnecessary--even sinister--but my aunt assures me it has saved from from any number of insipid, tedious baby showers; sermons; and the whole art of human conversation.
