Three episodes in and all I can say is that it will be worth the wait hagatha. So far this is fantastic.

I spent yesterday afternoon watching a miniseries on the Lifetime channel called "Flowers in the attic: the Origin". It's a prequel to Flowers in the attic & it tells the story of how Olivia transformed into the horrible Grandmother. My goodness was it ever good.

I blasted my way through all of The Expanse, and Then Stranger Things, Season 4. It's pretty awesome. I particularly love the subtle nerdish references all the way though, to LOTR, and Buffy, and many of the other major gamer/fantasy tropes.

I'm now watching The Leftovers; it's been on my radar for a while and I thought now is the time. It's a slow burn for the first two episodes and I almost gave up, but the premise is fascinating and I'm seriously liking it now.

Stick with The Leftovers hagatha. There is some seriously good television to come. The last season is a bit out there, but all the way through there are moments that can take your breath away.

Flotsam, It already has taken my breath away a couple of times. It got me thinking about how that would affect people, the people who loved the ones who disappeared. It's really powerful stuff. It's one thing to lose someone to accident or disease or even old age; it's another thing altogether to have loved ones just...vanish.

Also, the soundtrack is incredible. I like Max Richter; his music is obsessive and sad, perfect for this show.

The soundtrack does work a treat, and some scenes are indelibly linked to various tracks in my mind. There is one which uses Nothing Else Matters that I 'see' every time I hear that track.

Can't say I love the season 2 theme song, though. Arrrrrgh.

I'm still loving The Rings of Power and House of the Dragon is a 10 for me.

I'm waiting for the full seasons for both of those so I can do a complete binge. I'm looking forward to it.

After the Leftovers I might check out The Boys. We started it a couple of years ago and John didn't like it so we ditched it, but it might be fun.

I'm pretty sure that this week is the last episode of season one of The Rings of Power so get ready to binge.

Oh, no! I'm not ready for it to be over!

I was hoping there was going to be more episodes too but I looked on IMDB and it only listed 8 episodes.

I like a nice long binge, but these shorter seasons can be wonderful because the writing has to be really tight, unlike the old 24-episode seasons where half of the episodes were filler.

Grimm does sound right up my alley. I'm hoping one of my streaming services picks it up again. maybe Crave.

I am not a big Star Wars fan (not helped by the recent series eg Obi Wan, Boba Fett) but the new series Andor is certainly kicking some goals. So much better than the others and with plenty more still to come.

OK hagatha time to binge season one of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. I think you are going to be impressed. Even though it is a series everything about it is movie quality. Enjoy!

I almost don't want to watch it because it's the last show in season 1!

Eight episodes is just not enough. Maybe season two will have more episodes since they have seen how popular the series is???
