I've been playing and very much enjoying "Camelot : Wrath of the Green Knight CE" from Big Fish and was well into the bonus chapter when the game suddenly crashed.
And when I got back to normal I found that a scene from the game was superimposed across the whole of my PC desktop screen eek

I can see and use all my icons "through" the superimposed picture but haven't been able to get rid of it.

So I approached BF for help.
And the advice I was given was to follow links re graphics issues that they provided and try making the suggested changes.

However, these links, in my opinion, do not address the problem. They are mainly about the game "fitting" properly on the monitor screen. (dots per inch (DPI) settings) and all my games from BF currently fit perfectly - including this one !!
So I'm not prepared to alter anything in that respect. What I need is for the superimposed scene to be removed.

The technician assisting won't be available again for a couple of days now so I thought I'd see if anyone here knows how to deal with this very irritating problem ??

[ I've done all the usual .. uninstalled & reinstalled the game .. computer scans and clean-ups .. closed down and rebooted. But nothing has had any effect. The scene overlay persists frown ]

So, does anyone feel able to offer any help at all ?? All the while remembering that I would need "words of one syllable" instructions lol

I had this superimposed scene bug once with Dark Dimensions: Somber Song. In my case, though, this problem was when I was actually in the game itself. Hopefully someone here will have some suggestions for you. How frustrating!

Have you tried changing the screen resolution to something else, and then changing it back? Just to see if anything changes. I am wondering if this might be a monitor settings or video card issue.

So, are you saying this superimposed scene is on your monitor even if you're not in the game?

It can't hurt to change your screen resolution because you can always change it back. What they are doing at Big Fish technical support is eliminating the most obvious causes first.

You might also try right clicking the desktop and selecting Personalize. See if you can find this image in the options there.

This sounds scary and similar to when some game music was stuck in my computer. I don't remember for sure, but I think a Windows update eventually got rid of that problem for me. Good luck Mad. I hope you can get it fixed.

Actually, I found where I had the problem and it had to do with some icon that got added to my "start up files" that I had to disable. And it was birds singing, not music. Probably a long shot, but is there anything unusual in your "start up files"?

Thank you all for responding but, I'm over the moon to be able to say ....
Draclvr, you came up with the goods !! joy

The simple act of personalising my desktop background picture did the trick.

[I'd completely forgotten about that feature on this Win10 machine, even though I used it quite a lot on other machines redface]

Anyway, now I can get back to enjoying my "proper" desktop scenery. Yahoo !! Thank you so much, Draclvr !!

So, it was like a desktop background that could just be changed then? I'll have to keep that in mind in case I have the problem when I play the game.

Glad it was an easy fix!

By the way, had you used the map in the bonus game? I do have in my notes that doing that causes a glitch.

Yes. But only an easy fix because a certain someone thought to suggest it !! lol

And yes again. I used the map many times in both the main game and the bonus game but never experienced any problems with it.

The crash occurred when I was doing one of the "matching items" puzzles. I was matching mirrors and suddenly ... WHAM ... a CRASH eek

I really like this game though so I will certainly risk playing it again yes

Yippee! Glad that fixed it without any fuss. I change my backgrounds quite often. I love the daily photos on the Bing.com page which is what I use for my home page for my browsers.
