I am hubby's eyes today. He has age-related macular degeneration and has been getting injections for it for some time. The eye has been doing extremely well and he hasn't had an injection for 6 months. It started acting up, so he went in and got an injection this morning. He can't see much after them and had an injection in his knee scheduled for the afternoon. So, I've been driving him around!

27 degrees here this morning ... chilly brrr for sure ... Gerry's coffee and Connies bagels got me through the day.

Drac, glad to hear the injections are helping hubby!

Good Morning and welcome to the Weekend everyone! Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream are ready!

It is a cold start here...27 degrees and with the wind chill it will feel like 20 degrees all day! No plans for today except a walk this morning before the wind picks up. Going to puzzle and read by the fireplace...and play a game or two. I started Tomb Raider 3 on my old computer and Rhem 2 as well. Always enjoy playing the old games.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. The wedding was Beautiful. Shopping is on the agenda today. Working the kitchen for our dinner at the Eagles tonight, Trivia to follow.

We are at 24 degrees Gerry. Hopefully it warms up soon.

It was very cold last night. The heat pump was on when I got up this morning.

It's a lovely brisk day and I'm trying to work up the energy to go for a walk. Also, I'm going to look at mattresses for the guest room, as I sometimes sleep up there in winter when the heat pump is noisy.

Just came in from feeding the barn cats and it's a balmy 56° here! Feels like spring!

A couple of pleasant surprises today -- my five months long fight with Scotiabank VISA over a large overpayment John made was finally resolved, and another 5-months long battle against our home insurance company over a double-payment John made 2 years ago was similarly resolved . I went to the bank with two lovely large cheques this afternoon, money I thought I'd never see. Our property taxes here are enormous, so getting a full refund for one year is a big deal.

Holy smokes! Persistence pays off! Nice little Christmas present for you!

Our property tax Christmas present is that the second installment bills should reach us by Dec 1st and be due on Dec 31st. They are usually due on Aug 1st but are just now being sent out.
