Hi, Mad

I'm not sure how many "Mystery Case Files" there are in the series, but someone here will know. If you're missing any of them, this would be a good time to complete your collection lol !

Hi, oldbroad!

Thanks! I played the first few before I joined Big Fish and don't still have them. If memory serves me correctly, they were strictly HO games with a puzzle at the end of each level and we were limited to (I think) 6 hints per level. Once they were used up, we were on our own. The first game I bought after joining Big Fish was Dire Grove, and I have every one since then.

I've played 18 of the MCF games so far but 8 of them I have only on disc.

I have a couple of HOPA's on my "to buy" list but since the BOGO sales don't always include SE's I bought some SE games this time. The Adventures of Theseus Match 3 (Marian did you get it?) and The Adventures of Mary Ann: Lucky Pirates Match 3 and ?? Looks / sounds different. I also bought the 2 Montgomery Fox HOGs.

I received an email today about the sale.

I haven't purchased Theseus yet but plan to. I do have The Adventures of Mary Ann: Lucky Pirates and enjoyed that. I might replay that sometime.

I have one of the Montgomery Fox games. I will pick up the other one eventually. I really like the games from this developer, which are listed on this page here.

I had a sneaky suspicion that you had Lucky Pirates as I know you enjoy Pirate games. yes

I did look at the Mortimer Beckett games but they are mostly pretty old so I don't really want to get them. That "The Others" has a lot of good reviews. I'll make note of that one.

Thanks!

The Mortimer Beckett games, some of the earlier ones, were great fun. They were innovators at the time, but now it would not seem quite so much that way what with all the games that have come out since then. Still good, though. The Others is really good and I think you would enjoy it.

And yes, the pirate theme got to me, of course! grin

Hi, Marian!

That's great bravo ! Their Black Friday sale seems to have stretched into Cyber Monday because it should last until at least 12:00 noon ET tomorrow. I'm still playing "Lost Lands: Redemption" CE that I got for FREE, and I can't figure out why I didn't buy it when it was first released. What a beautiful and well-crafted game and I still have the Bonus chapter to play. In the meantime, I have "Book Travelers: A Victorian Story" CE, "Mystery Case Files: The Last Resort" CE and "Royal Romance: Battle of the Woods" CE that I picked up on sale waiting in the wings.

Hi, Marian!

I'm taking my time so they should last me for quite a while. I must have completely missed Lost Lands because, had I played the demo, I definitely would have bought it. They even go so far as to have the characters say the player's name throughout the game, so the developers really put a lot of work into it.

Hi, everyone!

If you weren't able to take advantage of Big Fish's Black Friday BOGO Sale, you'll have another chance to save money because Cyber Monday's sale is 65% off for Game Club members and 35% off for non-members. It says "All games are on sale", so it doesn't look as though it's limited to CEs.

On your mark ... get set ... shop lol !

It's going to be hard to ignore this sale, but I will try. grin

I did, however, pick up The Catch - I never thought I would see a game on offer there that I did not already have. But I did not have this one, which is Christmas Stories: Alice's Adventures CE. Nice! yes

Hi, Marian!

I picked up 2 games in the BOGO sale, so I'll probably take a pass on this one as well since there isn't another game that I really want. Thanks for mentioning there's a new "The Catch" because I missed that. I bought the SE 4 years ago with a Punch Card coupon, so I'm going to grab it since it's the CE, it's free and I probably won't remember much about the main game anyway lol !

Enjoy your freebie!

Susan

Thank you for mentioning "The Catch" ...........I forgot all about it. I did not have Christmas Stories: Alice's Adventures CE either, do now. grin

I did some damage during the BOGO Sale, think I'll try to hold off on today's sale. smile

Did you see this "Build a Bundle" sale?

https://www.bigfishgames.com/us/en/promotions/build-a-bundle.html

I wonder if it is only for members. It's not really clear to me.

It mentions "Game Club Discount" so I assumed it was for members only ....

I'm thinking that too Mad. It still leaves the costs higher than the BOGO sales anyway, but I thought it was interesting. Something new for Big Fish.

I just tested it out, and the discount is for both members and non-members. Obviously if you are a Game Club member, though, you will save even more.
