The game is readily available as a download from both Steam and GOG.

You might want to post over in Glitches about the problem running it that you have had; someone might be able to help you out. Getting a different CD/DVD of the game is not likely to improve matters unless the CD/DVD you tried to run the game on is so badly scratched that some of the data is unreadable as a result. You could also try running it on a different computer if you have more than one, to see if you have the same problem.
