Dagdrøm is available on Steam or DRM free on itch.io

Check out the trailer here.

Check out the official website here.

Quote
Dagdrøm is a challenging old school adventure game, inspired by classics like Monkey Island, Broken Sword and Machinarium. But fear not: The game comes with a simple in-game hint system and a visual walkthrough guide. It is available for Windows PC and Mac.

The sun rises. The good people of this zone wake up from their slumber only to find that the city reserves of The Dream Tea, a favoured refreshment in these parts, has run empty. Its main ingredient? The Dream Juice, a mystical black extract, somehow connected to that tower on the horizon…

Travel across desert dunes towards The Great Tower to find questions, answers and most importantly: something to drink. Survive mysterious separatists, face The Stone Golem and cook a wide selection of broth based soups… That is: If you can get a ticket on a train in the first place.

Features:
Classic point-and-click gameplay with a simple modern interface
Three act storyline, each with a distinct setting
A cast of over twenty characters, each with frame-by-frame hand drawn animations
Original soundtrack
Full HD resolution

Happy Gaming!

This has got my attention, so much I've already grabbed it for only $9. From that first review it sounds like a 7+ hour run. Love the "in game" hint system. All Developers should take note

Thank you Ana

I thought the same, and bought it. I found it very obtuse. No idea what to do, the "walkthrough" is a puzzle in itself. I actually requested a refund from Steam for the reason "is not fun." I've never asked that before. OK, all that said, the game could be good. It just needs input from others...listened to by the dev...

Not fun KatieB REALLY.......I was gonna hold off on running it after I finished Firmament but will check it out now. I asked for a refund one time. I did not get it because the 2 weeks had passed. At the time I knew Steam let you play up to 2 hours but thought they also gave 30 days on refunds. Not the case, 2 weeks.

How far were you into Dagdrøm?

Thank you for your thoughts on the game

Not far at all, Orion. Maybe 10 minutes. I just knew it was going to be a long journey and one I didn't want to take.

I played Dagdrøm for an hour and decided like KatieB to call it a day. I have refunded the game. I am not into cooking, having to find ingredients, when it comes to games nor am I into reading a game like you oldbroad AND I have other interests to play right now. Now if I needed to find objects to cast a spell.....well that is a whole different story. Not gonna happen here

Huh, thanks for your input Orion. Just for the record, I don't mind some reading in some games but in some of them it is just too much and needs voices instead, especially the higher priced ones. wink
