I downloaded Danger By Design from Big Fish but once installed it won't play. I get a message saying something like the route to the game cannot be found. I have installed in Windows 10 program files (x86) as directed. but it doesn't show up. it doesn't play. All of my other ND games installed just fine. Why not this one?

Since there could be many reasons why your download didn't install correctly, it's going to be best if you contact Big Fish support.

Do you have an icon for the game on your desktop?

I do notice that the supported operating systems listed at Big Fish do NOT include Windows 10.

You could also try installing the game somewhere else like in Program Files rather than Program Files x86. There is an option in the Games Manager that allows you to choose where you wish to install the game rather than the default x86. Not sure why you are having this issue. I have no trouble with this download on Windows 7 but haven't tried it on Windows 10 yet. I know that on my Big Fish download of Danger on Deception Island with Windows 7 the game won't start unless I redirect the download to install in Program Files, so I am wondering if this is a similar problem.

The Big Fish download aside, the game itself works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I tried different locations including my external hard drive where all of my BFG games are downloaded. But I keep getting the same error message. This is the only game that won't work. I tried all of the BFG suggested fixes but no luck.

I would write to Customer Support about it, then. Not sure why this particular download is causing problems. If I see anything else about this, I will let you know. They will give you a points refund if you can't get it to work.

There is also this Steam thread here. The fourth post down got a reply from HeR Interactive. Of course, this may or may not pertain to your error message, but it might be worth reading through all the posts.

Ok, now this is weird! I installed the game disk but I am getting the same message! cannot find the path----------etc. etc. The game does work on my PC but not my laptop. Both are windows 10. I give up!

You may need to uninstall all traces of this game before you can install it again, since it looks like something was corrupted.

Did you follow the instructions here for the CD install? These are the instructions for Windows 10 as well.

Well! That worked!I remember now that I had to do the same thing for another game a long time ago. But I forgot how. Anyway, I can now play the game on disk but I still don't know why the BFG version didn't work! Oh well, time to get something done today! LOL Thanks again Marian!
