Good Sunday morning! March has finally arrived which means my hummingbirds will be back in just 6 weeks! I never miss having to mix up a gallon of sugar water every day, but I do miss their twittering outside my window.

Making a batch of jambalaya today. Hubby is allergic to shellfish, so no shrimp. But I do have chicken and a spicy Andouille sausage for it.

Good morning everyone. Enjoying a cup of WADDB, bagels and knäckebröd while getting ready to tackle the day. Honey-Do's are on the docket today with liberal amounts of music, and Gardening. The temp dropped back to the 30s this morning with a high of 60 and not 75 like yesterday.

Both warmer and sunny today. 8 Celsius. Snow mostly gone. Yesterday's 90 km Ski race had as surprise winner some local 18 year old lad. Youngest winner ever. Well done.

It is cross-country. Sure occasional slopes but not dramatically. While climbing a Norwegian mountain in the Jotunheimen ( where the adversaries of Odin and Thor used to live ) I once talked to a Norwegian guy who came jogging up to the peak in shorts. Meanwhile I was exhausted, breathing heavily. He said he had once done the Vasa-race but it was very boring because too flat. Many Norgweigans are very energic.

LOL! Thank you, Fogfighter. I am a good part Norwegian, but I'm not very energetic!

Mrs Sun is shining this nice and warm though windy Tuesday. Many call the day Mardi Gras. Over here it's just fettisdag (Fat Tuesday).
Traditionally celebrated with a special bun. The fastlagsbulle. Think wheat cardamon bun with plenty of whipped cream and mashed almonds and powdery sugar.

Instead of knäckebröd you can today enjoy an abundant suppy of zero calories fastlagsbullar in the break room.

Dravlvr. You seem energetic enough to me so I'm pretty sure you got plenty of Norwegian heritage. Though apparently you never got the lutefisk gene.

Good Tuesday morning! Oh, my! I don't usually eat breakfast or anything in the morning, but I might make an exception for the fastlagsbullar, Fogfighter! We call today Fat Tuesday over here today. It is the kickoff for the Mardi Gras season.

I did make jambalaya for supper Saturday night which is kind of a Mardi Gras meal.

Good Wednesday morning! Now that Fat Tuesday is over, I'll just go back to my WADDB.

Holy SMOKES! The wind whipped up last night and was howling. I thought this old farmhouse was going to blow off this hill. Plus it brought along a couple inches of snow, so there is blowing snow and it's just awful out there. My bird feeders are full of everything from Cardinals to Juncos to Chickadees and more!

Seems like a good day to stay inside where it's warm and make some soup and bake a nice crusty loaf of bread.

I'm told we had another earthquake this week. I slept through it.

It's a lovely day and I'm off to yoga this morning. Spring is here, though we have had snow in March in the past so it's best not to celebrate too early. My Star Magnolia is covered in buds and looks as though it's about to bloom, and my heathers are already blooming. I think I'll do some pots of flowers this year. My garden is all shrubs and it could use some colour.

Good afternoon everyone. Chores and projects tackled after fueling up with WADDB, knäckebröd and donuts and now it's time to relax with music and Gardening. Hagatha, I am thinking those are the best kind...ones you sleep through. We had thunderstorms and very strong winds last night but not much rain, guess the high winds and gusts blew most away.
