Seems like I'm busier now than when I was working Gerry...yes a little spring cleaning with chores and projects. Enjoying the brew, knäckebrödand and bagels this morning. I do miss our hummingbirds.

It's another lovely morning but quite chilly. I've been wanting to mow my lawn all week but the grass is still always wet, since we keep getting afternoon rain and it's covered in dew in the morning. Half of the front lawn it is moss, anyway. I think I might turn part of it into a nice patio since it looks pretty bad.

I have to run out for groceries and then it's an afternoon walk around the 'hood.

Good Sunday morning! We actually have SUN! Still pretty chilly, but the sun sure beats more rain.

Pretended it was summer yesterday and made BBQ pork steaks with a really good cole slaw. And of course, fresh asparagus! I've been using a method called Reverse Sear for the pork steaks the last couple of times and it's really good.

I wonder why you don't have hummingbirds, soot. All of my "resident" flock is here. They are the ones who stay and nest all summer.

Good Monday morning! Oh, my goodness - an entire week with no rain in the forecast! I guess today is Cinco de Mayo... we had margaritas and birria tacos Friday night!

Got a patio chair repaired yesterday on the hummingbird porch. Now to get out the power washer and get all the chicken sh*t off... we feed Bella the Bloodhound there and it is so bad when they try to get any little crumbs. Hubby found an old gate we used when one of our previous dogs was recovering from ACL surgery and put that up. I sat on my newly repaired swivel chair with a glass of wine and laughed at the chickens' desperate attempts to get onto the porch!

Going to see if it's too muddy to work on weeds today. Gerry we have an appointment to get our AC maintenance done tomorrow.

I'm determined to get done all of the little things that I've managed to forget about since I moved, things like getting the dining rooms chairs recovered (leather seats and cats; bad combo), getting all of the junk out of my garage and off to the dump so I can have some proper shelving built, and cleaning out my closet for one last enormous run to the Campbell River thrift stores (the ones here won't even take clothing any more).

My air conditioning maintenance did not go well yesterday. The tech punctured a whole in the freon pipe when putting the panels back on the outside unit! The whole unit has to be replaced...I'm still waiting to hear from the company...I was told they will have to order it...I need to know if they are taking responsibility for the damage the tech caused. Apparently one of the screws that holds the panel on was longer then it should have been and when screwed in it punctured the connection. I'm hoping to hear from them this morning.

Have a dentist appointment this morning...wish me luck!

Gerry, I hope they will pay for your air conditioner but I suppose it depends on who put the longer screw there and why. I still say they should! Good luck with it. I'll be interested to hear what they say!

Good Tuesday morning! Gerry, that's a bit of a disaster! Certainly hope they make it right with you... definitely their fault, no matter the length of the screw! I'm surprised they can't just replace that freon hose. They were supposed to check ours this morning, but it's still too cold! They hope it will warm up enough to do it this afternoon.

Need to make a run in town for a few groceries and am going to stop at the produce mart in town. They have hundreds of hanging baskets and flowers stretching a block! I need to get some pots and baskets for the hummingbird porch.

Finally heard back yesterday and the company will pay the cost of the replacement air conditioning unit. I need to get in touch with them today...have questions...need to be sure it is the same size (BYUs) and that the attic unit was not damaged when the incident happened...the air was running when the freon leaked out. They have not ordered the unit yet...I don't know what they are waiting for.

We got 2 and a half inches of rain yesterday and could get a shower this afternoon and more rain expected tomorrow night and Friday.

Rain in the forecast today. Darn. I was so looking forward to mowing my lawn. It's getting quite long but it looks so nice and green right now I don't mind. As soon as I cut it the moss becomes obvious.

Not much on the plate today. Yoga later on in the morning and then some more garage cleanout.

Good Wednesday morning! Chilly and cool, but supposed to warm up a bit in the afternoon.

Fingers crossed hubby can some of the garden tilled up and by tomorrow afternoon it will be dry enough to get my tomatoes planted.

My AC unit maintenance went much better than yours, Gerry! Hope they can get the new one installed before it gets hot!

Connie, that is the very best news for your friend. That had to be so scary for all of her family and friends.
