Good Wednesday morning! Today it's supposed to start getting quite toasty - in the mid to upper 80's. Those newly planted tomatoes should be happy.
Had to run Bella the Bloodhound in to be dropped off at the vet. She hasn't been eating well for a couple of weeks, but over the last week has pretty much stopped eating. She acts fine, but changing her food hasn't helped much either. So, it's time to see the Dr. Chris to see what's going on.
Made really good progress outside yesterday. Got almost all my heavy stepping stones pulled up and stacked so I can power wash them. Lots of weeds pulled too. I think hubby is finally going to get rid of the chickens. The eggs are nice, but they cause SO much destruction and he refused to keep the poop off the sidewalks and places where we sit outside. My neighbor who has about 200 chickens is going to take them. We will just buy a couple dozen eggs from her every week.
Which means! I can have someone come in and spread mulch this year! Everything is in dire need, but there was no point with the chickens.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good morning everyone. Yes Fogfighter, silly but cute song for sure. I am doing AOK Gerry...enjoying a cup of wide awake double dark brew this morning...great news about your A/C. Life's kept me very busy these past days...yard work, doc appt, chores and projects. My vote is for an easy upkeep landscape Hagatha. Yes Connie, too much rain too fast just runs off and you don't get a deep soak for trees and plants...have fun at Bingo. We've enjoyed many slow steady soaks these past days and I hope they continue into the summer and break our drought. Oh my Draclvr, I've never thought that chicken poop would be a factor. Have a great Hump Day everyone ![[Linked Image]](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave2.gif) 🐪

Good morning everyone.
Latte Macchiato is what I drink every morning, with an extra shot of Ristretto. I don't know how well that would translate into a song, though. It makes for a nice, mild but strong coffee .
I hope Bella is okay, Draclvr. Today is Willow's day for her shots and checkup. She's become almost inert these days, sleeping under the bedspread all day. Seems cheerful enough, though.
An easy care lawn sounds great, Dan, but until I can decide what else to do I'll just stick with the lawn, which is not very big. My landscaper has a package that they call "Everything but the mowing" and I think that's what I'll do. My garden is my refuge.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone.
On the second cup already. Käckebröd is available in break room in case of emergencies.
The Espresso Macchiato song is funny. The finals will be on Saturday, maybe the caffeine will fare well in the Eurovision. There is competetion though. For example my fellow Swedes sing about Sauna, the Icelanders are building a boat sailing out on the Atlantic. Grönland is already discovered but it will sure be an adventure anyway. Poland is sending a musical superstar with impressive talents, skills and looks but because language barrier no one outside Poland knows what the song is about. Presumably some ancient slavic folklore pertaining to Mother Earth. May the best song win.
Happy Thursday GameBoomers!

Good Tuesday morning! Supposed to head up to 90 degrees F here today.
Well, Bella the Bloodhound did have a small blockage as I feared. But it has made its way through her entire digestive system and is close to the way out. The vet tried to remove it manually, but she is such a big dog he couldn't quite reach it. Who knows what she ate... we do catch her chewing on twigs sometimes. They recommended a diet of chicken and rice for a few days, so I ran in town and got some chicken thighs, carrots and zucchini. Shredded the veggies and put them in a pressure cooker with the meat and water for 30 minutes. Drained it and cooked a cup of long grain rice in the broth and mixed it all up. Starting with small frequent meals of it for a couple of days and then transitioning back to her dog food. In her X-rays they saw arthritis in her hips which we already knew about and the pellet from when she was shot. This purebred Bloodhound was dumped down by the river 6 years ago in the dead of winter. She was getting into people's trash looking for food and someone shot her. She made her way to out house and made herself a bed in some deep straw in the barn. We didn't adopt her - she adopted us!
Putting together my big flower pots today with plants from the local nursery. Going to have a little helper as the little girl I pick up from the bus now and then is going to come here after school to help. She is very excited!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good morning all.
I can't believe how some people treat animals. They are thinking, feeling creatures just like us. How could anyone abandon a beautiful dog to die? I just don't get it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha, if you ever saw what I see down at the horse rescue, you would not believe it either. The worst abusers are the Amish. They whip, beat and inject pain killers to keep their horses working and then throw them away to slaughter in Mexico. They are also have the most horrendous puppy mills you can imagine. If you have the stomach, watch this video of Riddle who came to us a couple of years ago. When I was feeding at 10 pm, I was always so afraid he would be down. WARNING if you have a weak tolerance for this abuse. Riddle recovered, but some don't. Riddle

I've long hoped that laws would change to make animal abuse a more serious charge with more serious consequences. It just isn't happening.
Riddle was so very lucky to be rescued. Again, I just don't understand it. You would have to be an utter sociopath to do that to an animal.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, Draclvr, hagatha, soot and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Connie so glad it was an easy fix for your well. Years ago our well was hit by lightening and the control unit "fried". I don't understand how people can be so evil...torturing and abusing innocent creatures. I have a different service technician coming today to complete the yearly maintenance on the "attic" unit of the air conditioning...that part was not serviced. I hope you all have a good day to start the weekend! Gerry

T.G.I.F. good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Hagatha, Draclvr and all who follow. Grocery shopping is on my agenda today and with daily chores will fill my day for sure. Hope the attic servicing goes without incident Gerry. Enjoying a second cup of wide awake double dark brew with a bagel. Wishing you all a wonderful Friyay!

Good Friday morning! Oof, that 90 degrees F was hot yesterday! Much nicer today, but we are supposed to have severe storms later this afternoon. Large hail is possible, so I cleared out the garage so I can pull my truck in if necessary.
Already have a load of laundry in and just going to sit here and listen to the noisy hummingbirds and enjoy my WADDB.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good morning all.
Just got (another) eye-watering quote for dental work for Willow. It's a good thing they're cute...
We've had a mixed bag of weather today, from raining to howling winds and now sunshine. I was woken very early by search helicopters overhead; a sailboat capsized and someone is missing.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
