Good Tuesday morning! Cool this morning, but a nice sunny day ahead. Hoping it has dried out enough for me to work outside some more.

Now that the chickens are rehomed, I'm having someone come out and spread mulch for me. With all this rain, I simply cannot keep up with the weeds.

It poured yesterday morning...started while I was coming back from my walk with my neighbor and friend...we got soaked! Got home and noticed my gutters were overflowing...I think all the maple tree seeds this spring clogged them...I will have to get them cleaned out. Always up keep with a house!

Hey, Diego! Just heard from LadyK that the AG forum may have been a victim of the same attack that happened to Mystery Manor a week or so ago. AI is spamming forums with thousands of "guests" which knocks them down. She has been unable to get in touch with Ivo to see what happened.

It's amazing how brick paths are adjusted by Mother Nature. I have major yard projects waiting for me when I return. But for now I'll enjoy Gerry's wide awake double dark brew.

Good Thursday morning! Oh, great - more rain today and then all weekend. I got so much done the last two days and hoped to get one of my favorite beds full of daylilies weeded today. Grrrrrr....

Oh well, good excuse to make a run in town for a few groceries. Bella the Bloodhound is starting to eat a little bit since she's been on the prednisone. Not a lot, but it's something. I've been feeding her chicken and rice with a few veggies that I cook up in the pressure cooker. Need to make up another batch, but I'm also going to try a can or two of soft dog food to see if she'll eat it.

At this rate, we may never get the pool open! Every time it rains, hubby has to start over with adjusting the pH.

Pools require constant upkeep, but the reward is priceless on a hot summer day!

My life seems to be a serious of unfortunate events at the moment, with one medical and dental issue after another plus an ongoing saga with my kitchen's pendant lights, which seem to be cursed - I have bought two sets of replacement lights to no avail. The first set didn't work and the second emit a weird yellow light instead of the clear white light I wanted, and have to be returned. Lots of electrician bills and still no lights.

We've had some truly lovely weather these past few days. I've been spending time outside on my patio listening to the birdsong. I'm surrounded by trees so there are multitudes of birds here.

It's much cooler here today with a sprinkle of rain. I might have to put the fire on later; t's odd how in the winter a temperature in the house of about 75 feels nice and warm but in the summer it's too cold, for me at least. Weird.


I'm off to get some cat food from the vet's office (priorities!) and then it will be pottering around day with a walk.

Good Friday morning! Gee, this week went fast.

More rain last night and today. I did manage to get the one big daylily bed weeded before it started yesterday. I'm down to a small bed in front and another big one on the west side of the house. Hopefully, I have a guy who will come spread mulch for me soon. He's supposed to come Saturday and give me a bid. I need to get into the tomatoes, but it's just too muddy.

Rainy days are good for decluttering, so I've been doing some of that every day.
