Enjoying some quiet time with my WADDB, then heading out to put liquid fertilizer on my tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.

It's a gorgeous day, but will be quite hot, I think. I'm off to Pilates and then my friend and I are going to check out the Canada Day activities in Parksville.

Good Tuesday afternoon! Had to run in town this morning to get a haircut.

Stepdaughter and her SO arrived last night and will be here for several days.

Good Wednesday morning! Didn't get my WADDB this morning as we left the house at 6 am for a 6:30 appointment for an upper and lower GI scope for hubby. Back home by 9:00, but getting up at 5:30 am is SO not my jam any more! All was well and they will continue to try to search out why he has lost so much weight.

Stepdaughter and SO went in town to meet up with her brother, SIL, niece and her hubby and his two littles. They were headed down to St. Louis to Grant's Farm, a facility owned by the Busch Beer family. Lots of animals and rides and even a couple of the famous Clydesdale horses.

Hubby didn't get much sleep last night, so after a couple of Hardee's breakfast sandwiches he's headed back to bed and I need to go spend some time with my ice pack.

We're having a hot and dry spell right now, which is rather nice. My little herb garden is very happy. My house stays fairly cool, but if this keeps up I'll have to turn the air conditioning on.

Yesterday afternoon my friend and I went into Parksville for the Canada Day celebration in the park, which turned out to be nothing more than a lot of food trucks and some music. After a couple of slices of very good wood-fire pizza, we decided it was too busy and the since the music was only so-so we went for a walk away from the crowds instead.

Draclvr, I hear you about the getting up early. I am not used to it any more. Tomorrow I have to get up at 6 am, give Willow some medicine (which is difficult as she's a very big, strong girl), wait two hours while she's howling for food, and then take her to the vet to have a bad tooth extracted. She's been a bit cranky lately, and I'm hoping the tooth extraction will help.

Draclvr hope hubby is feeling better today. Hagatha good luck with giving Willow the meds. I'm still an early riser...usually up around 3 or 4am...makes for a long day.

And need to walk our furry kid before it gets too hot to walk him. The knäckebröd and WADDB are much-loved. Plumber coming to fix kitchen sink leak...L4L notes cooking is problematic with a leaky sink.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. We lost Jack our Trivia host unexpectantly this week. Please keep his wife Pam and co-host in your prayers. Jack was a dual member in our Eagles and another District 4 Eagles. Tomorrow we are hosting a 4th of July BBQ for family and friends. Enjoy the day and hug someone.

Good Thursday morning! Seasonable temps here around 90 degrees F. I can handle that!

Hubby's scans all came back good. So, the search is still on for the cause of his weight loss. He is feeling much better this morning.

Step-daughter and SO went golfing, so it's nice and quiet here - just the way I like it!

Made an appointment for euthanasia for Bella the Bloodhound Monday morning. She's been doing fairly well up until yesterday. It's time.

I am so sorry about Bella, Drac. It's hard to lose a beloved pet.

So sorry to hear about Bella, Draclvr. It's really hard to lose a fur baby. Will be keeping you and hubby in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry about Bella Draclvr. Dog is God spelled backwards for a reason. They really are family members.
