Hi dianne, Windows 98 was one of my favorite operating systems, and I still regret having to give it up. wave

My first computer was Windows 98. I bought it from The Home Shopping Network (a TV program) and I loved it. It was top of the line and came with a whole bundle of games and programs. I don't remember how long I had it but it was a pretty long time I guess, then one day it just wouldn't boot up when I turned it on. So sad. I didn't know enough then about computers and operating systems to appreciate it the way I should have and would now.

I still have a fully operational Win98SE languishing in a spare room đŸ„ș
(Along with spares for most parts of it.)

I had to take it from my computer table - where I also had WinXP3 and Win7 machines next to it (linked by a KVM) - to make room for my Win10.
I just couldn’t fit FOUR machines.

And I was, and still am, very upset to have to have done that rolleyes

Yes. My Win98 also started as a 1st Edition machine but kept getting upgraded as upgrades became available.
