A classic 2D point-and-click adventure in glorious low resolution! Puzzle yourself through a world full of ghosts, monsters and pixelated mischief to rescue Gigi's grandmother from the realm of the dead. A heartwarming story about growing up, death, and how the two are connected…

Hamburg, Germany – July 10, 2025 – Daedalic Entertainment and Three Headed Monkey Studios are teaming up to release a brand-new, classic-style adventure game. GHOST HAUNTING blends lovingly hand-drawn 2D visuals with subtle spookiness and dark humor—true to the spirit of genre-defining point-and-click classics. Developed by a new indie team of true 90s kids, the game offers a nostalgic yet modern take on the traditional adventure formula: An all-new 2D point & click adventure with a big nostalgic heart, modern comforts, and a protagonist who isn’t even old enough to ride a ghost train alone. Players join 8-year-old Gigi on her journey into the afterlife, armed with nothing but her curiosity, questionable logic, and a talking pumpkin-demon named Baron Butt(er)nut.

During a supposedly relaxing vacation, Gigi stumbles upon the family secret: her grumpy grandpa Giovanni is a legendary ghost hunter. This revelation quickly spirals into a plan to bring back her late grandma from the realm of the dead. How hard can it be? Spoiler: very hard. And potentially world-ending.
With handcrafted pixel art and a quirky cast of characters (say hello to the Gargoyle Labor Union and some one-quarter-dead zombies), this game is a story that explores grief, growing up, and ghoulish missteps. GHOST HAUNTING delivers everything players love about the golden age of adventures—without the frustration.

Key Features:
• Classic point & click gameplay with a modern twist
• Built-in hint system, hotspot highlighting, and fast travel
• A “Not-getting-stuck” guarantee
• Wholesome chaos meets heartfelt storytelling
• Zero jump scares. Probably.
• A brand-new IP with serious sequel energy
Whether you're here for the puzzles or the puns, GHOST HAUNTING is ready to make you laugh, cry, and maybe question the ethics of interdimensional travel.

Happy Gaming!

Thanks Ana! I added it to my wishlist, but my real wish is that developers would stop making every point & click game "pixel art".

I suspect that, at least with smaller development teams, pixel art is easier to make and also less expensive, so this could sometimes be a factor.

And thank you, Ana! I appreciate the information. smile

I had to smile at "glorious low resolution!" I agree with oldbroad, but I'm sure it's much less expensive for small developers.

It's spring. My life is weeds.

I don’t mind it at all. As long as the story is good grin
