Good morning everyone! Sunday but not much sunshine. Because clouds. Got to make do with WADDB instead. 20 Celsius. Somewhere in the region it's supposed to rain a lot but not here obviously. No skunk drama here and no broccoli slaw on the menu. But sounds like a great idea to use what you got.

Good morning Fogfighter Gerry Draclvr OldBroad Hagatha Connie and all who follow. Enjoying WADDB and bagels before getting started on projects and chores. Draclvr, what a fun adventure with Wilbur and let's call his friend Flower…is Flower the skunk a regular visitor? You are traveling light with just a carry-on Hagatha…I imagine you could also bring a largish handbag. OldBroad your BiBimBap Rice recipe with broccoli slaw sounds delicious…I love broccoli slaw. Great idea to go early for groceries Gerry…drive safe. Have a good meeting today Connie. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Good Sunday morning. Cloudy and a bit cooler today. Maybe even a thunderstorm or two this afternoon. I actually got a lot of work done outside yesterday when it wasn't so hot. Might try to tackle that natural stone walkway today.
Fogfighter, no skunk or pig drama at the Ranch last night! Just three happy horses and one happy Zebu getting their 10:00 pm rations! I did have to lug 5 gallon buckets of water to several stalls in the old barn which doesn't have automatic waterers. But an easy night!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good Monday morning. Went out early and pulled some rogue weeds - blech, the humidity is so high it's hard to breathe out there. It was 85% earlier.
Soot, I had to look up what a laurel oak tree was. It appears it is native to your area... we have swamp oaks in SE Missouri, but they are a little different. That laurel oak could have gotten huge and was not something you wanted so close to your house!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good Tuesday morning. Hummingbirds fed and plants watered, now just sitting here enjoying the quiet morning and a cup of two of WADDB.
Oldbroad, you have inspired me to give the bibimbap a try!
I actually need to starting getting ready for the next influx of visitors. Son and his family are coming from Colorado to spend a week here. Now that the kids are all grown ups, it's harder to find places for everyone to sleep, so we're borrowing a popup camper we can set up right next to the house so we can plug it in. It has two queen beds and an air conditioner!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good Wednesday morning. Heading for 95 degrees F today... blech.
Chanterelles are very popular here too, Fogfighter. They can usually be found through the end of the summer. I have a friend who goes foraging at least once a week for them. Since they found out in the woods and our temps are in the 90's and the ticks are plentiful, it's not for the faint of heart!
Since I have what seems like a metric ton of bright orange cherry type tomatoes called Sungold and two buckets of cucumbers, I'm going to make some marinated cucumbers, tomatoes and onions today. Saw a recipe for fermenting the little tomatoes with some garlic and fresh dill and since I have lots of all those things, I'm going to try some of those too.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good morning Draclvr Connie Fogfighter Gerry OldBroad Hagatha and everyone. Draclvr, I imagine the popup camper will be more enjoyable than the barn…your marinated cucumbers, tomatoes and onions sound awesome. Hope you got your walks in Gerry. Have fun at Bingo tonight Connie. Enjoying WADDB and bagels before I get back to chores and projects for the day. Happy Hump Day everone 🐪

Hi again everyone. Oldbroad I did manage to get in 2 shorter walks...I went very slow just under 4 miles. It was shady so that helped. Oldbroad I too have been having internet issues lately...I was thinking the weather might be playing a factor. I love mushrooms Fogfighter, but I would not know how to pick which are good ones.
