Good Morning soot connie, Draclvr and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Today we are supposed to be less humid so it should be nice to walk. Yesterday it was very humid, muggy, and buggy when I went for a walk. I'm looking forward to a better day to walk! Enjoy yuor Monday and the start of a new week! Gerry

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Draclvr and all who follow. We're scheduled to cross over 105+ this afternoon with our heat index. Hope your walk was better this morning Gerry. Are you programming the solitaire style game Fogfighter? I'm enjoying multiple cups of WADDB before I carry on with the day's schedule. Wishing you all a wonderful Monday

Good Monday morning. Soot, starting tomorrow that's where are also headed with temperatures. Blech. Right now it's raining lightly. It can just keep it up for awhile so I don't have to start watering everything! A grocery store run in town is on tap for today. Time to start stocking up for the visitors! I always have sandwiches for them when they get here after their 12 hour drive. Last year I had Muffaletta Sandwiches. This year I'm making them Cubano Sandwiches.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, Draclvr and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready...having my first cup. Fogfighter are you creating your own game? Glad you are enjoying the WADDB! Draclvr both those sandwiches look deliciuos! I put dill pickles on most of my sandwiches...I especially like them on tuna fish sandwiches! I find my "taste buds" have dulled over the years and I need something with a strong flavor to taste it. Hope you all enjoy a nice day. I woke up to find the temp is 55 degrees! It should be a perfect morning to walk. Tomorrow it's back to hot, humid, and buggy weather. Gerry

Good morning Connie Gerry Draclvr Fogfighter and everyone. Woke up to 80 degrees this morning so took the walk easy-going for me and Max as we were wading through thick air! Groceries today but first I need a cup or two of wide awake double dark brew. Have a great day everyone

Busy today, travelling all day, not even time for WADDB Warm over here last week but certainly no 100 F. Still a bit on the the hot side. Indeed I do do some games programming. Currently a simplified Mah Jong Solitaire style game. Since I'm hobbyist you can't buy any of my games in any store and since I mostly favour Linux and reactOS/XP nowadays the process of trying them is a bit tricky. That said those of you familiar with and having access to those OSs are more than welcome to try my games. Feedback is always welcome. Right not I only get feedback from fellow hobbyist programmers. PM me and I'll send a link. It's all freeware currently. Though the simple solitaire is not completed yet. Maybe I can suggest the Knight's Quest in the Elephant Valley instead meanwhile... Sounds alluring but is really just the Knight's path, in the Elephant Valley. Happy Tuesday GameBoomers!

Good Tuesday afternoon. Missed the break room this morning as my BIL brought over their popup camper and set it up for us. It has two queen beds and can sleep more, but just my son and DIL are going to sleep there. We plugged it in to the outlet on the hummingbird porch and turned on the AC right away because it is so stinking hot outside.
They are all getting excited about getting here. It's a long 12 hour drive, but they have 4 drivers so can switch off.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good morning Connie, Gerry, Fogfighter, Draclvr and everyone. Yes indeed Drac and Fogfighter, stinkin hot currently is and will continue to be the daily condition down here in LA (lower Alabama) as I imagine it is down in Connie's neck of the woods too. We retired (parted with) our old PCs long ago as we just didn't have the room for them...c'est la vie. Got everything on the list Gerry except one item...so will try to hunt that down today when I'm out n' about. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy a couple cups of WADDB and bagels for now. Have a great Wednesday everyone 🐫

Good Wednesday morning. Stinking hot gets even worse today... the pool was even 88 degrees F yesterday!
Son, DIL and two granddaughters are on their way! Put the seasoned pork loin in the crock pot this morning for their Cubano sandwiches tonight. Since I have two buckets of cucumbers in the kitchen, going to make some marinated cucumbers and onions too. Hubby made a German sour cream cucumber salad yesterday. No shortage of good eats this time of the year!

Good Morning connie, soot, Draclvr, Fogfighter, hagatha and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew awaits! The horrible heat and humidity is back here too. It makes it difficult to enjoy a walk! Hope you all stay cool and have a good day! Gerry

Good Thursday morning. That sounds really good, Connie! I made something similar last week - nice to use the crock pot and not heat up the house.
The kids arrived about 9:30 last night. Everyone was SO glad to get out of the car after 12 hours. About 10:30, the two girls grabbed a couple of beers and headed out to the pool - they didn't come in until about 12:15. Everyone is sleeping in this morning. Except for my granddog Sasha. She is a little chihuahua and the sweetest little thing - not a yapper at all. Sasha has been in and out and in and out. I think she is looking for Bella. She keeps going to Bella's sleeping rugs which I haven't had the heart to pick up yet.

If your shelters are like the ones here right now, they are begging for people to please adopt cats or kittens. This has been a particularly bad "kitten season" with unwanted kittens brought in every day. I agree with you that this cat may actually have a home and people who love it. There are kitties at your local shelter who would love to have your brother as a cat dad!

Hi everyone.
I'm back from Toronto and very happy to be home. It was a very busy 5 days, quite exhausting. Toronto is a wonderful, vibrant city but it's way too busy for me. Much bigger than it was when I lived there.
Ny nephew's wedding was quite the gala. His wife is half Sri Lankan and has a huge family. I hadn't met her before. She's a tiny, beautiful dynamo.
I hadn't seen my nephew for about 22 years. He's grown into a very tall, sweet-natured bear of a man. He's a doctor working for the military.
The trip home took 15 hours including a 4 hour layover and a very late midnight flight. I plan on doing nothing for a week.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, Draclavr, oldbroad, hagatha and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Connie that sounds like a delicious dinner! I have a small crock pot, but I've never used it. My daughter uses it when she visits. I would love to try coking a small roast pork in it. Do you have a recipe for it? Fogfighter my old XP computer cannot connect to internet because of the outdated browser...I am not computer savvy so I don't know how to transfer a file from my iMac Apple computer to the XP one. Draclvr sounds like you will be busy with company for a while! I bet Sasha is looking for Bella. Oldbroad its hot here too...temps will feel like it is 100+ degrees today...a weather alert has been issued for the heat and humidity today. Hagatha welcome back! You've been missed. Have a Happy Friday everyone! Gerry
