Good Tuesday morning - early for me! The kids are on their way back to Colorado. I'd have to say a good time was had by all. I'm so grateful my son makes sure they get back to see us every year. We used to go out and visit them every other year or so, but I don't think hubby can travel like that any more. They were out in the pool until midnight again last night!
Gerry, I know you are a few years older than me - I'll be 78 in a couple of months - but as long as I can, I'll try!
Nope! Not cooking for a long time!
It's spring. My life is weeds.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Draclvr I will be 82 in a couple months...grateful to be able to still take long walks! Just heard about the 8.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Russia last night...one of the largest ever recorded. A possible tsunami could affect Hawaii and west coast of USA. Keeping those affected in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you all have a peaceful day. Gerry

Good Mornin everyone! Pleasant 22 Celsius and some clouds. Perfect for WADDB. I'm pleased to say the reassembly of the old NUC style computer was successful, eventually. Dead battery removed. Now the NUC forgets what time it is everytime I power it off. But seems to run well beside that. A bit old but fully usable as secondary computer. Hopefully it can get a few extra years now. Not very tinker friendly gadget. Even if I do find a replacement battery I don't think I'll go through the process of disassembling the whole thing again. Happy Wednesday GameBoomers!

Good morning everyone. Back from my road trip to brothers to celebrate our joint birthdays. Lots of construction on the highways and byways but no major delays. Timing is key to avoid rush hours and lunch hours in the major cities. Busy day here to catch up with chores and projects. Wishing you all a wonderful 'Hump Day' 🐫

Good Wednesday afternoon. Had to hang laundry out on the clothesline this morning... my dryer died last week. I ran in town and purchased a new one, but they can't deliver until Monday, so the clothesline it is!
Kids got home to Colorado about 10 last night. Son said it was 102 degrees in Salina, Kansas and 56 in Limon, Colorado which is just across the Colorado border! We are supposed to finally get some relief starting tomorrow with highs in the 80's rather than the upper 90's.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

I had to look it up too, oldbroad! Fogfighter, I'm all about keeping those elderly computers running! I've never of having to deconstruct one just to replace a CMOS battery, but I supposed the small form factor is why.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, Draclvr, oldbroad, Mad, Ana and everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready along with a big Birthday cake for soot to celebrate his Birthday! It is going to be a stormy day today, but it is bringing a cold front that will drop the humidity for Friday! So looking forward to a day without "feels like temperatures" of 100+!! Have a great Birthday soot! Hope everyone enjoys the day too! Gerry

Good morning everyone! 19 Celsius and cloudy. Nice and cool after those hot days. Perfect for starting the day with WADDB. Already on the second cup. That Soot birthday cake looks great too. Happy Birthday Soot The NUC class computers are really neat and tiny. The drawbacks are the lack of graphics card and the inconvenience by tinkering. So no darkside graphics intensive gaming there. There are some readymade NUCs but you can also buy a barebone NUC and fairly easy add RAM and Hard Disk Drive and install your favourite OS, but anything beyond that tends to be a nightmare. At least the older NUCs were horrible to tinker with. But now it's done and hopefully the ancient ( 5 year old) machine will get a few more good years. Happy Thursday GameBoomers!

Good Thursday morning. Sorry, Connie! Not sharing my cooler weather - what a relief! The humidity is still extremely high - when I went to bed about midnight last night, it was 88%
I'm finally caught up with most of the laundry including all the bedding and the pool towels from the Colorado kids' visit. Takes longer when you have to hang everything out on a clothesline! One more load to go.

Hi all.
I have been absent largely because I hate typing on my phone. My laptop will be back from Dell tomorrow, I hope.
I'm about to start my third try at blood pressure medication. The last one caused so much joint pain I literally could not walk. It was a bad ten days....

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. I had a very busy but wonderful day yesterday ... thank you for your kind words, a delicious cake and cupcakes! Yes indeed, never too much sugar on your birthday. It's going to be another hot day here with its accompanying heat advisory ... which is why I walk before the sun comes up with our shepherd. Have a wonderful TGIF day everyon!

Good Friday morning. I am reveling in the glorious 68 degrees F this morning! Enjoying my WADDB with the window open to the hummingbird porch listening to them chitter and buzz about. After over two weeks of the oppressive heat and humidity, it's wonderful.
Loading up some meds and vaccines to run down to the horse rescue. I get all their UPS shipments at my house because the USP route goes by here after they close the big iron security gates. Then I'm heading in town to drop off some kidney meds at the local cat rescue. They are left from my last kitty who died of kidney failure.
It's spring. My life is weeds.
