Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 21 August, 2025 — Indie development studio Rusty Lake has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming point-and-click puzzle adventure, Servant of the Lake, during the recent Future Games Show digital event. Servant of the Lake is a classic single-player Rusty Lake point-and-click adventure set in the infamous Vanderboom house during the era of Aldous and William Vanderboom. Fans who missed the trailer during the show can check it out now for a first look at the haunting new journey from the developer of Cube Escape, The Past Within, and Underground Blossom, coming to Steam, iOS and Android. They can also get hands-on at Gamescom with an immersive demo experience inside a life-sized, ornate carriage.

In Servant of the Lake, players will immerse themselves in the signature Rusty Lake atmosphere where unsettling puzzles meet surreal storytelling. To celebrate the reveal, the developer is also bringing Servant of the Lake to gamescom with a real-world mystery where visitors can hunt for clues across the showfloor to turn in for Rusty Lake merch and play the game at the Indie Arena Booth inside a life-sized replica of one of the game’s iconic carriages.

Servant of the Lake is also nominated for 'Best Mobile Game' and 'Best Booth' at the 2025 Gamescom Awards.
