Once every year or two I replay the Enigmatis Trilogy. One, because it's a good story arc that has an actual conclusion at the end. (I.e. there will be no fourth episode.) And, two, it shows a surprising growth in production values over the course of its three episodes. I just finished The Ghosts of Maple Creek. Not quite as good as the other two, but it is notable for being the first use of Artifex-Mundi's Spark Hidden-Object Engine, which became the "gold standard" for HO game creators. Planning to start Mists of Ravenwood, my favorite of the three, later this week.

Tim, thanks for reminding me of this trilogy. I loved this series and it's been quite a while since I played it, so I appreciate your post!

I have not played the Enigmatis games yet. I do have them, of course.

I played and enjoyed Enchanted Kingdom: Frost Curse (on my Windows 7 computer). It didn't start out too good though with the first 3 puzzles giving me trouble. I skipped one and used a guide for the other two. After that, I was able to do them all. Maybe I just wasn't in the proper mood / mode. Although, I did change one or two of the rest of the puzzles to easy mode. I usually leave them on hard mode which seems to be where they default to.

I have since started My Brother Rabbit which I never played before.

Tally Ho, if you are ever interested in a specific Domini game, I can let you know whether or not it works on my Win 10, but as I know I already stated, none of the games released in 2019 or later (that I have) works. I stopped buying them once I figured that out. There are 70+ games that I will not buy so they have lost some business.

And I know of several other people with this Domini games problem. They are probably making enough from PC and mobile combined that they can't be bothered to troubleshoot/fix this, unfortunately. That is pure speculation on my part, of course, and my apologies to Domini if this is not the case.

Ob, my favorite of the Enigmatis games is Mists of Ravenwood, but they are all good. The first game as I recall has a lot more hidden object scenes than the other two, but it is a good game as well.

I haven't played Frost Curse. I also haven't played My Brother Rabbit yet. And yes, they are both in my Purchase History.

Playing House of Tesla. Oh My!

I finished My Brother Rabbit last night. A good game, different, but tedious at times (for me anyway). I found myself clicking around unsure what I was looking for several times. I haven't yet decided what's next.

Your description of My Brother Rabbit sounds about what I would expect, based on my reading about it. I will give it a try at some point.

Currently playing Dark Romance: The Monster Within and having a good time with it.

Many years ago I played Evil Pumpkin: The Lost Halloween and it stuck in my brain as a game I apparently liked. Last year I talked about replaying it and put the game icon on my desktop where it still sits. Tonight I started it and I think it is going to be quite hard. I am playing in Casual Mode vs Adventure Mode. I'm not sure what mode I played it in in the past. The difference (besides the normal hint time recharge and sparkles) is that Casual has HO scenes and Adventure does not. The game is weird so far which may be what I liked about it. I'm not remembering much yet. We'll see.

It being October, I am also planning to play Jewel Match: Dracula but first I have to finish Matchventures 3. Actually, I'm sure I've completed the game but it just goes on and on anyway. I am nearing Level 200 and will stope when I get there I guess. I completed rebuilding the 3 castles some time back and now am just keeping them in repair.

I am nearly 50% finished with the Nonograms game which is over 1000 puzzles with the 10 new DLC's that just came out. Even though I found out how to change colors and backgrounds to make it easier for me to see the grids properly, I am still making a lot of stupid, careless mistakes but I've only restarted a couple of the puzzles. I'm not going for perfect in this game.

I think I see why it took me 37 hours to play this game the first time. It really is pretty hard. You cannot skip puzzles and sometimes you just don't know what to do. There are clues but you might never even realize they are clues or remember about them by the time you need them. I have already been looking at a Steam Guide that is not a complete walkthrough but also have been looking at a full video walkthrough. While looking through the Steam discussions I saw that I posted 10 years ago about a place I was stuck. If I was playing it for the first time right now, I don't know if I would like it or not.

Yes, I remember hearing about the difficulties of this game, which may have been what discouraged me from buying it. Not to say that it does not have its merits.

I'm still playing Evil Pumpkin. I have made it to Chapter 4. I lied about there not being a "skip" button. I did see it today but haven't had to use it yet. I did look at a guide on Steam again tonight when I just couldn't find anything to do. The solution was something I'm pretty sure I had already tried but sometimes you have to go back and try things again if something changed somewhere or somehow. It's possible the item I needed had changed since I first tried it. I don't know. It is actually a really good game once you get the hang of how it works. It can get pretty frustrating though too.

I might just pick it up during a sale, knowing what I am getting myself into.

So, here's the kicker! After playing Evil Pumpkin for more than 15 hours, I end up glitching myself out somehow and cannot finish the game. I see in the Steam discussions somebody else ran into this problem but I don't know what causes it. I'm sure I finished the game the first time I played it. Oh well, on to something else after I rest from this one. I'll probably try to play Halloween Stories: The Neglected Dead before the month is over. I still haven't started Jewel Match Dracula either.

Sorry that happened to you, ob! I was playing a Domini game recently and was about 85% through the main game when the game glitched out on me. I did not bother restarting and I certainly hadn't put more than 15 hours into it.

I think I will be picking up Jewel Match Dracula in the next couple of weeks. It looks like fun.

Solution to my sign-in problem - I had to uninstall (control panel) the Big Fish game manager, then go to the website and buy a game as an unknown user, whereupon a new game manager was installed. After that, the sign-in button worked and I am back to normal.

I had a problem recently where my games would download to 99%, install, but then wouldn't activate. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Game Manager and then everything worked the way it should.

An "unknown user"? What does that mean? Did you actually have to purchase the game and if so, is it in your library or in unknown users library? Can't you just download the game manager without purchasing something?

I started Halloween Stories: The Neglected Dead tonight. I like it so far!

I haven't played that Halloween Stories yet. I will have to take a look at it! I just played a TM (Elena's Journal: Unfinished Expedition) and am ready for another HOPA.

I had to re-start "Lost Lands : Stories of the First Brotherhood CE" because health issues meant I couldn't play any games for a while and so I lost track !! 😒

The chapters are set out in what I would describe as a slightly more old fashioned style but carry a strong, continuing storyline and I am finding it a really good game and very much enjoying it.

It does get complicated in parts and I feel some of the puzzles to be quite difficult (even though I like them) so I can't afford to lose touch

However, I absolutely DO recommend it
