Good Sunday morning. Hoo boy. Not only are the temps falling, but the wind is vicious. I was very grateful for my feline thermal unit in bed with me last night!

Connie, I'm so glad to hear your friend is on the mend.

Wedding was beautiful yesterday. We didn't stay after the ceremony as the weather change is causing hubby's back to scream at him. We didn't know anyone else there, so would have been just sitting around by ourselves.

Laundry is on the list for today.

Happy Sunday. I see a little snow on the grass outside my window. Still gloomy looking out there also.

Hope you all have a good day!

Good Sunday morning everyone.

Yesterday I was out cleaning up leaves and I noticed bubbles coming out of my fountain. I pulled up the pump cover and saw that once again, the water feature is leaking. There is almost no water circulating. That means the whole thing needs to be torn up again. Starting to wish I'd just shut the thing down entirely and built a flower bed.

It's a nice day, though, and I think I'll go for a walk.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I'm sorry to hear that, hagatha. That's the kind of thing that wears me down and makes me give up. I hope that you are able to get it fixed and done once and for all. It sounds beautiful.

Dear me !! I'm so sorry to hear that, hagatha rolleyes

It seems to me that if you are having to face this disruption of your garden yet again that as well as putting things properly right this next time, these people should also be offering you some compensation for all the upset, mess and upheaval !!

They'll come back and fix it for me, but the disruption is unwelcome at the moment as I grapple with my chronic shoulder pain and the BP medication side effects.

The best cure is the walk I'm getting ready for. I might go down to the beach. It's hard to feel bad when surrounded by nature.

We are under a winter storm warning right now with a possibility of 6 - 7 inches of "lake effect" (Lake Michigan) snow in my area. It has started already. Temps to be in mid 30's Monday but back up to 60 by the week end.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. Getting ready for the 30's tonight. I'm sure we will loose some of our plants, just doing the best I can. I like colder weather, the plants not so much. Enjoy the day and hug someone. hug hearts

Good Monday morning. It got down to 25 F last night with a pretty good breeze, so was REALLY cold when I went down to the Ranch at 9 to close and feed. I was SO happy to see the employees had closed all those heavy barn doors so I didn't have to - there are 20 of them!

Connie, so sorry it's going to get so cold down there!

Dragged my arse out of bed at 6 am to run down and pick up little RayLynn to meet the bus while her mom is on her honeymoon. She has her big field trip today and I didn't want her to miss it. Just came home and went back to bed!

Hagatha and Gerry, I so agree with you. There is nothing like a long walk to banish negative thoughts and troubles. Some like to walk in a group, I prefer my walks alone in the woods. Finally it's cold enough I can do that because of the ticks. But I'll have to wait a few weeks as it's deer season here right now.

Good morning everyone. Those temps are headed our way too Gerry and Draclvr...time to dress warm. Connie, we used to 'tent' our Hibiscus plants back in the day and then transitioned to moving them into the garage with grow lamps...now our garden hosts cold tolerant flowers. Hope the lake doesn't take too much effect OldBroad and you get back to warm temps sooner than later. Groceries are on my docket today and then daily chores and maybe a project.

Stay warm everyone wave

Nah, the predictions were off as usual. Not that I'm complaining. I think we got only 1 or 2 inches. Again, I'm not complaining about that! I wish I could get myself walking everyday like the rest of you. I really did love to walk in the past and I could certainly use the exercise!

Oldbroad, I struggle with making myself go out for a walk sometimes. Part of that these days is the brain fog effect of the new medication (I hope it wears off in time) but part of it is the feeling of "why bother?" I sometimes have to boot myself out the door. I always feel better afterwards.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Oh, I totally agree, hagatha. While once I'm walking, I love it, booting myself out the door is an effort some days! Especially if it's dark and gloomy out, I can easily talk myself into staying inside.

Good Morning connie, Fogfighter, Draclvr, soot, hagatha, oldbroad, and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! wave

Walking is the best activity for me at 82 "years young". I count my blessings that I am still able to take long walks...sometimes alone and sometimes with my 2 neighbors both 79. I've been walking a lot over the last couple years and average at least 6 miles a day...I walk in the morning and again in the afternoon. I'm not on any medications yet...just take vitamin B and D supplements.

It is going to be a bitter cold day today...I will have to bundle up for my walks! happydance

Enjoy your day! hug

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. It's a balmy 35 degrees this morning. It will warm up to the low 50's later today. I actually prefer the colder weather, I'm not a fan of the hot humid weather. Enjoy the day and hug someone. hug hearts

Good Tuesday morning. Very cold again last night, but starting to warm up. Supposed to be near 80 by Friday!!

Had a new horse last night. He came directly from the equine vet clinic yesterday afternoon and has a body score of 1. Which means basically a skeleton with hair. He is on a very strict refeeding schedule to wake up his organs. He is fed a mash at 7, 10, 12, 2, 4 and again at 9 pm. I had to weigh out alfalfa cubes and bran and soak it all for about half an hour. He is blanketed, but by his face, looks to be an Appaloosa. Poor guy. Don't know his circumstances at all, but probably a legal seizure.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Connie, were you born in Florida or move there? It sounds like you are in the wrong state if you don't like hot and humid.

Drac, frown

Fogfighter, enjoy your afternoon tea.

I hope you each enjoy your day!
