Good Monday morning. Back to chilly, sunny fall days. That 80 degree stuff was for the birds!
Mr. Gobbles is still up and eating. Today marks one week since he came to us. He's got at least another week before we'll start even thinking about him being out of the woods.
I usually leave a hummingbird feeder up until November 1 just in case there are any late travelers coming through. But this year I had a small swarm of honeybees on it! So, I mixed up more sugar water and put another one out there for them. I don't know if they were swarming to make a new colony or what, but they were still here yesterday.

Good morning all.
Just finished a morning walk and then I'm off shopping.
I'll try for the x-ray again this week; however, that said, I stopped going to physio and all of a sudden there's a marked improvement in my pain levels. It still hurts significantly, especially at night, but I'm having some long periods during the day where the pain is negligible. The physiotherapist insisted on using Shockwave therapy on it, and I suspected that was making things worse. Now I'm sure it did. I'm happy to not be using pain meds so much, because both Tylenol and Advil give me terrible night sweats and insomnia and Tramadol turns me into a zombie for about 24 hours.
I'm so glad to hear Mr. Gobbles is still with us.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

hagatha, my shoulders are held together with titanium pins after having full tears on 4 of rotator cuff muscles on both shoulders and only have 1 bicep muscle on each arm (they cut the long head muscles on each one off because they were too badly shredded to reattach). I hike dogs for a living and let me tell you my arms and shoulders get a lot of abuse with high prey drive dogs pulling. I would not be surviving without my Lifewave patches. Particularly the X39. I've stayed quiet because I sell them (online sales are mostly bootleg from China and don't work). My husband broke his arm/elbow in May and they gave him 3 months to heal and he was back golfing and fully healed in 6 weeks much to everyones surprise! He wore the patch on the break daily. If you want info on it let me know.
Drac, praying for Mr, Gobbles daily!
connie, praying for your friend daily too!
soot, mad, oldbroad, fogfighter, Gerry, judith and all.....have a happy day!

Good Tuesday morning. Another decent fall day ahead. We were supposed to have a spectacular fall color season, but it just went to brown due to the extreme heat and drought in September. So, it's pretty drab out there.
My honeybees are still here - poor things have absolutely nothing to feed on, so hope they get lots of food back to their hive. They've gone through almost a quart of sugar water.
I'm dehydrating some onions today. The produce stand had onions on sale, so I got 4 bags. I used my handy dandy little dicer and put them in my big dehydrator. One batch got a little to toasty, but they will be perfect for a casserole topping!

Good morning everyone.
I'm just back from Pilates (I modify the arm movements) and am now waiting for the contractors to show up for the final measurements in my office prior to the renovation.
I hope this project goes better than the poor pond, which is still not repaired. I'm giving the contractors a wee bit more leeway so nobody can say I'm unreasonable, and then I'll start pushing. It's a tactic I learned as a property manager. If things ever end up in court or arbitration, being the reasonable party almost always pays off.
On the plus side, the cats are very much enjoying the dry stream bed. There's still water in the bowl fountain for the birds, so it's not all bad.
It's a beautiful day and I may go for a walk later on.
I hope Mr. Gobbles hangs on.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Wednesday morning. Kinda dreary here today, but we've had so many beautiful sunny days, I don't mind.
I checked on Gobbles when I ran RayLynn home from the bus yesterday. He was up and seemed to recognize me - probably as one of those "food people!" But I guess he went down again about an hour later. They had to get all hands who were still there on the late shift to get him up plus the caretaker's wife and adult son. It took 7 of them to get him up. Even as emaciated as he is, he still probably weighs at least 800 pounds. Like I said, he has a long road ahead yet. We got in two more late yesterday, but they aren't skinny, just neglected. Their halters were so tight, they had to cut them off. A man in his 90's had them and couldn't take care of them any more. They probably haven't seen a vet in many, many years.

Good morning everyone.
It's a bad shoulder day today so I'll stay home and give it a rest, do some laundry and other light chores that have been neglected.
Draclvr, once you have a rescue back up and healthy again, what happens to them? Are they "adopted" out like pets at the SPCA? Does the rescue keep some of them?
I've often been tempted to volunteer at the local cat rescue but I'd end up with a house full of cats, so it's a bad idea.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
