Good Wednesday morning. Temps dropped about 30 degrees last night and oldbroad's cold front has arrived! There is even an outside chance of snow Friday night.
Unfortunately, Mr. Gobbles went down again yesterday. But the good news is that he was able to assist them in getting back up. The big goal will be when he can lay down to rest and get back up all by himself.
Other than grinding up my cranberry relish today, the only thing I will do is get by brine ready to drop the turkey in tonight before I go to bed. Now is when I'm glad for the cold weather because I can just leave the bucket in the garage overnight and not have to put it in the refrigerator.

Good morning everyone.
More rain today. If I can rustle up enough energy I'm going to move some boxes and other things down into the crawl space today. My garage looks like a bomb went off in there. Too much stuff.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday morning. Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US! Nice to see you, Orion!
It's just me and hubby today which is fine with us. I'm going to enjoy my WADDB and then get started. Did a lot of the prep work yesterday. Just making an apple pie as I have to get rid of the last of the Granny Smith apples I got at the orchard last September. I'll do that in the oven in the garage and I do the dressing in a crock pot. Need to go make my pie crust to give it time to rest a bit. I found a fool proof recipe that uses my food processor and 1 cup of cold pure butter with the flour, salt and sugar. Perfect every time and so much easier.
Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
It's another dreary day so I'll continue to potter around in the garage.
One good thing about this weather is that I tend to sleep better, partly because it's dark, and also because the felines don't wake me up early to go outside. There are a lot of retired people in my neighbourhood and right now there's not a sound to be heard. I guess we're all hibernating for the day -- one of the few benefits of getting old.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
