Suspenseful and atmospheric soundtrack

at least 4-6 hours of varied gameplay

The demo showcases what we want to achieve with Doomsday Valley, but it should be viewed as a work in progress. This will give you a first impression about how the game will play.

You are Maya Harper: a quirky journalist working for Bizarre Bulletin, an online magazine specializing in the unexplainable. Videos about haunted buildings, faith healing and urban legends has made you and your platform an internet sensation.

The Mystery of Doomsday Valley takes you to a remote town where unsettling events have left the locals on edge. You need to uncover the mystery by exploring strange locations and talking to interesting characters in order to find out what's really going on here. At the heart of the story is a discourse about news, fake news, conspiracy and truth.

There will be lots of exploration and strange events going on in the area where a doomsday cult once operated. This tourist map shows a couple of interesting locations.

Please visit the Old Mine, but try not to fall down a mine shaft. While you are here, don't miss out on the Lighthouse - the rumors about ghosts are totally made up. But be aware, the guests staying at the Doomsday Hotel are certainly up to something. And due to recent events we would not recommend using the Cable Car.

Professor Nebulius. Professor in astrophysics and advanced mathematics. He is already investigating the valley and this might or might not upset the sinister forces at work... (hint: it does, it angers the spirits greatly)

Mortimer Darkwood. Manager of the Doomsday Hotel. He has no real interest in running a hotel and it shows. This is a fallback job for him after some misfortunes and he is working some angles to get away from the hotel.

Rosie. Owner of Rosie's Diner. She knows the ins and outs of the town and the people living here and is never too busy. Her recipes stem from a long tradition of local cuisine, as her family has been living in the area literally forever.

Theodore Penwright. Journalist working at The Times. Always on the lookout for the next big article. He is semi-famous in his field and makes sure people he meets recognise that in every way possible.

Cletus. He is a local farmer who recently had some nasty experiences that led him into a depression. Self-medicates with moonshine and excessive eating but also enjoys long walks with his dog.

Dave. He claims he got sick by accidental exposure to some unknown substance and is now hiding out in his camper van. He used to install smart tech solutions, like surveillance cameras and security systems, but is now running a telephone-based food-related startup.

The game is a mystery point-and-click adventure where you investigate strange events in an area where a doomsday cult once operated. Humour, puzzle solving and cute animals will come together with a fully voiced cast and professional sound design to make this classic point-and-click adventure game an inviting tale for all fans of the genre.

The characters you meet will have depth and personality, all with their own issues and quirks, and they will have a big role in the overarching narrative. At the heart of the story is a discourse about news, fake news, conspiracy, and truth...and one or two mind-controlled squirrels.

The Mystery of Doomsday Valley has a hand-drawn, stylized look that mixes quirky humor with a slightly eerie undertone. Think Stranger Things meets Twin Peaks.

Inspired by classic 2D point-and-click games, the visuals are packed with expressive characters, moody locations, and small details that hint at something strange going on beneath the surface.

Our aim is to pull you into a world full of mystery, oddball moments, and a touch of the supernatural.

Happy Gaming!

Thanks for this post! I am one of the developers of the game and I am here for feedback or general discussions about this game or the point-and-click adventure genre in general.

We are aiming for a chill & fun puzzle game with a nice story. I guess we will have to see if the game finally delivers on all our hopes and dreams smile

Hi Pierre, welcome to Gameboomers

Your hand-drawn games are works of art. They look very good, a lot of time and love put into them. Champy the Useless Vampire is doing very well. Nothing like a hand-drawn adventure comedy to make your day. Thank you sir
