Well, today is clean up day, we had quite the blizzard yesterday, weather report said 6 inches but with the wind & blowing snow it's up to our knees in some places around the parking lot, couldn't even see our car this morning completely covered in.The snow was partly up our front door. There was over a 100 car pile up on the highway between Edmonton & Calgary. OK, I'm done with snow, don't want any more, just spring LOL. Still have to go out today & tomorrow for last minute Christmas shopping. If you are going out please stay safe out there.

I'm so glad to hear Mr. Gobbles is on the mend. I've been afraid to ask.
Judith, that car pileup -- how horrible. I like a little bit of snow, but it sounds like you're just plain snowed in. I remember heavy snow in Toronto growing up. it was just part of life. Here, of course, there's about two snowplows in all of the region so plowing is very slow and our street never gets done.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

hagatha; I don't know what's worse, my snow or all your rain. My daughter lives in Crofton & she said all this rain is so depressing.

Judith, the rain is depressing. It's been going on for weeks now and there's no sign of a letup. On the other hand, a lot of people here really don't know how to drive in snow and even a couple of inches can create chaos. On the bright side, the heavy rainfall releases me from any guilt at spending my days gaming. I've unpacked my little generator and it's charging up now. I should get myself an electric frying pan or a toaster oven for cooking in a power outage. It's got 4 USB outlets and four regular outlets and apparently plenty of power for days of use if needed. It can even run a small heater or fridge. Dandy little thing -- it's a cube about 68 x 13 inches and can be carted around as needed.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good to hear the “horse” news !!
No snow in my area yet but heavy rain, rain and more rain. There’s been a lot of flooding across the UK but I’m very thankful I’ve also been spared that ….

No snow. No sun. At least there are some emergency instant coffee kits. Happy Friday GameBoomers!

Good Morning everyone and Welcome to Friday! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Sounds like a lot of extreme weather for everyone. I'm getting heavy rain and high winds today...the temperature is going to break a record today...in the 50s! But then late today it will get very cold again. Good news on Mr. Gobbles...thanks Draclvr for the update. Connie I'm glad Lynda continues to improve and hopefully she will go home soon. Hagatha you finally have an answer to your shoulder issue. I hope the therapy gives you some relief. Draclvr hope the biospy shows it got all the skin cancer cells. Have a good day everyone! Gerry

Good Friday morning. Judith, that must have been quite a blizzarrd! I remember growing up when we would have a blizzard rage for days at a time. It was hard for my dad with all the livestock to keep fed and watered.
Hagatha, that little generator sounds like it could be lifesaver if you ever lose power!
Our day yesterday started out at 57 degrees F, Gerry! But it fell rapidly overnight and the wind started howling. When I came home from bowling, it had blown over the big trash container we have to pull down to the end of the driveway for pickup on Fridays.
Christmas dinner at the American Legion tonight. I'm making a hash brown casserole to bring. They usually have a couple of big hams and everyone brings sides.
When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

Good morning everyone.
Yes, the generator is a decent-looking resource for power-outs. One of things that sold me on it was a review that said it would, among other things, run a CPAP machine for two nights on one charge so the reviewer was able to go camping. Plus it can be charged from a car.
It's the first gorgeous morning we've had in weeks and I have to stay home to receive my washer/dryer. But if it gets done early enough I'll go for a walk.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

T.G.I.F. Good morning everyone. A normal winter sunny chilly morning in the mid 40s and then upper 50s this afternoon. Really enjoyed the rain soak yesterday...need much more to get us out of our drought. Sounds like a really nice generator Hagatha. Judith, I loved blizzard days as a kid...no school, but there was shoveling snow. Enjoy dinner tonight Draclvr. I'm off for groceries. Have a great day everyone.

Good day everyone, Putting the tree up today. it's -4F but with the wind chill it's -26, with all the snow & cold I have to say Florida is sounding really good about now. I'll be starting my Christmas baking tomorrow. I'm so happy to hear that Mr. Gobbles has a second chance at life. The weather seems bad everywhere so stay safe out there.

Oldbroad, looks like you and I are in the same Bah Humbug boat this year for Christmas. I keep my expectations low anyway. Last year there were neighbourhood parties, but this year all those people are away.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
