Quote
Carol Reed is assigned by a literary agent to find Aldred Bauer, a best selling writer of crime fiction. The agent hasn't been able to contact Aldred in over a week, and he's missed an important deadline he's promised to meet, which hasn't happened before. Carol finds it unusually difficult to determine Aldred's whereabouts. But she suspects that he has left his home intentionally, since she can't find any computer, typewriter, or other writing paraphernalia in his house.

Happy Gaming!

Excellent! Honestly, when people asking me what I'm doing for the new year, what resolutions, etc. I just say I'm playing the new Carol Reed game, and the rest of the year is up for debate. laugh <3

It’s behind Aldred’s father’s house. You have go do around the house to find it.

Going forward, please post your gameplay questions about The Final Chapter in the Adventure Game Hints forum. Thank you!

And yes, your notebook for game hints can be found in your inventory on the far left side.

Oops, I just posted a hint without a spoiler warning!

It’s been nice getting to know you all if I’m getting banned now. lol

I think I’ve largely forgotten that routine. People rarely ask for hints in forums nowadays, but look up a YouTube video instead. I miss the times when you actually had to read a walkthrough when you got stuck. Videos have their value, but I definitely prefer to consult a written walkthrough to fast-forwarding a 5 hour video looking for the right clue.

I agree, Mikael, And I was always happy to find a clue in the in-game journal in this mystery.

I, too, prefer a written walkthrough. Once in awhile a visual is required.

Leeana, can you go ahead and start a new post in the Game Hints and Help forum for help with this game? That way everyone can post questions in the same place.

I also can't find it.
Searching Aldred's father's (lovely) house all around. At first I thought it would be the chest in Aldred's hallway, but no.
