I'm reading "The Good Daughter" by Karin Slaughter, it's a little over 500 pages & quite graphic in language & violence, it starts when two sisters were viciously attacked to 28 years later. I'm halfway into it & so far it's an excellent read.

Having much enjoyed The Tainted Cup, I am about to read the second in the series A Drop Of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett, having meanwhile detoured via an anthology The Book Of Swords, as well as dipping back into the gripping and horrifying non-fiction Spillover which reads like a thriller.

Like it or not oldbroad, Amazon kindle still rules the roost when it comes to ebooks: I say this having searched for alternatives and reached this conclusion somewhat reluctantly! On the credit side, US library membership means that Amazon is not making much money from me on that score, and I am still managing to keep a couple of older kindles in working order...😁

Lex, I do have Kindle on my desktop computer if I really want to use it. I like Dean Koontz but there are a lot of other books to read. We'll see. Maybe I will try it one day. I'm not really much of an Amazon fan any more. They've just gotten too big for me and I find it hard to shop there.
