Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! We had so much snow from the storm! Lots of drifting too. The town plowed a 3 foot tall wall of snow into the driveway. Temps are frigid and will continue thru the week...single digits right now. Hope you all stay warm and safe today. Gerry

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Hagatha, OldBroad, Draclvr and all who follow. Draclvr, your neighbor's kids are the best! OldBroad, brother can drive car to Autozone where they can do some free checks (battery, alternator) to possibly determine the problem....most Autozone's do this for free. Our temps are in the teens this morning but warming up now that the sun is up. Loving the WADDB and bagels this morning. Wishing you all a wonderful Tuesday...stay safe and warm

Good Tuesday morning. Oh, my goodness! It's 22 degrees F this morning with sun to boot! Downright balmy! The nights are still supposed to drop down near zero though.
Soot, I was going to suggest the same thing to oldbroad. Most places like Autozone will do some free checks to determine a problem. A vehicle does not "get used to" a new battery - there is still something amiss. Maybe an alternator or even a fuel pump.
Hubby may need to make a run in town for black oil sunflower seeds - the birds are going through it like mad. The county snowplows finally came by this morning. The country roads are still awful here.

Happy Tuesday all!
Brother could not drive the car to get to Autozone to have it looked at, hence the new battery. We don't have anyone to try to give him a "jump". Anyway, he said it did start a little slow this morning but then it went okay, without dying out. Drac, not get used to; get a little use - to like warm it up or whatever.
Of course, now I am growling about the grocery store again. They had pork tenderloin buy one get two free. He came home with only 2. He said they didn't seem sure about it in the store. They need to look at their ad paper and maybe learn how to ring something up manually! Now, not really a deal since they always jack the price up some before they do those sales. Pretty much paid regular price for them now. Oh well, I do have the ingredients for some chili (now that it's warming up) and some toilet paper. EDIT: Now I see what happened. He bought Hormel instead of from the fresh meat department. My fault for not paying attention and being specific on the list. Still, when he was talking to the store person, that person probably should have know that. However, there was a lot of product information I didn't learn about on my job when I was working, so...
That silly cat that comes in our house has finally started coming upstairs where I live. Last night I opened a can of smoked oysters and boy, did he want some. I had to shoo him away because I was afraid he might get sick if I gave him one.
Have a nice day everyone!

A cold and sunny day over here. Snow on the ground. No drama except for the birds fighting for a place at their feed. Meanwhile I enjoy the WADDB and stuff indoors. Happy Wednesday GameBoomers

Good morning Fogfighter, Connie, Gerry, Draclvr and everyone. We're no longer in the deep freeze. Just darn cold with low temps last night hovering in the low 30s...but lots of sunshine and back up to the 50s today. The wide awake double dark brew and toasted bagels hit the spot. Stay warm and safe today everyone

Good Wednesday morning. Around zero F last night, but in the 20's today with sunshine, so a pretty nice day.
While we're buried in snow and cold, I'm cleaning out another closet. It has all my old knitting stuff and I'm trying to organize it. I found two projects I obviously abandoned about 20 years ago! One was right in the middle of a row, so who knows what interrupted me and I never went back. Found another half finished mitten! And the first dozen rows of a rather pretty crocheted sweater! It also had hundreds of my husband's paperback books. I was never allowed to do anything with them because he might want to read them again some day. Yeesh... but now he has discovered large print books at the library, so I'm boxing them all up to donate. There are a couple of collections a year that will take them.
