Unprecedented weather in Florida. 35 degrees right now with wind chills 31 degrees

Our utilities called telling us to use as little power as we can to prevent a widespread outage. They went as far as telling us not to charge anything if not needed, phones, tablets etc. We are just not use to this

Cold Stunned iguanas - Frozen Florida and Frozen Sleeping Iguanas. This is crazy. Some are frozen solid but will wake up and be on there way once they warm up. Cold Stressed Turtles

Good morning everyone. Enjoyed WADDB and hot chocolate this morning to warm-up as we started in the low 20s but are warming up nicely to the low 50s. I can remember hearing about cold stunned Iguanas in years past. Will be getting my walk with Max later this afternoon after an early afternoon appointment.

Orion, I read about those Iguanas yesterday. The weather in Florida right now is bizarre. That kind of cold is difficult for people who aren't used to it. I hope you don't lose your power.

Here we're still in the midst of heavy rainfall, although we do get short breaks with sun. It's quite warm now. My Star Magnolia is in bud and should be blooming soon. And it's getting dark later and later every day. Spring is on its way!

Today is going to be a nothing day apart from a run to the bank for some cash. My shoulder is very sore after yesterday's long walk.

Good Monday afternoon. Had to get some tax stuff done for the old family farm hubby owns with his two kids and his nephew this morning. I always do our taxes, but I'm sorely tempted to have some else do them this year. I'll have to do them on my Windows 11 laptop.

It's above freezing today! No sun, but it's thawing some of the snow.

Good morning everyone. Enjoyed a great walk this morning with temps in the mid 30s. They say we'll be enjoying mid 60s this afternoon with sunshine before rain showers arrive tonight. Yes indeed Gerry, in theory spring is not far away. Enjoying wide awake double dark brew and bagels.

Good Tuesday morning. It's supposed to be a few degrees above freezing again today. I can finally see a little grass peeking through the snow cover. The deer have been in the yard pawing the snow away to eat the grass underneath.

Good morning Connie, Gerry, Draclvr and everyone. We're enjoying a heat wave at 53 degrees with rain, but, the cold temps are lurking in the background. WADDB and bagels are the only way to start the day. Chores and projects are on the docket today.

Good Wednesday morning. Another chilly day just above freezing and then some warmer temps in the mid 40's for a few days. The snow will be gone by the end of the weekend.

I really need to do my floors, but don't know if I'll muster the ambition or not!

I have to say picking up that knitting project I abandoned mid-row twenty years ago has been kind of nice. It's nice and warm on my lap as it gets bigger!
