Good Friday morning. Not cold today, but heading back down to the teens this weekend.

You are going to love your new speedy internet, Gerry! I don't think I could go back to turtle speed ever again!

A good cleaning of my range is on the agenda today. Good times!

Good morning everyone.

Nothing much on the agenda here, just doing a quick clean around the house in preparation for a visit from an old friend who also moved to Campbell River when she and her late husband retired. We go back more than 40 years, since John was an untenured Crim instructor and she ran the admin side of the Department.

I went to the second line dance class yesterday. It's a lot of fun. Not too taxing but it is, after all, the absolute beginner's class and there is also an actual Beginner's level above it. We're like the baby steps class.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

After the complete reinstallation of Windows it seems to be working again. Fingers crossed.

Needless to say, the only thing I've reinstalled is Steam, so I can play Morrowind.

The laptop still does that weird thing where the battery charge goes up and down a few percentage points, and it's never done that before, but right now it's at 100% charge. Apart from that it does seem to be working well. The last time I sent it back to Dell they did reinstall Windows, but it wasn't right and so it kept crashing. Now it seems stable.

Good morning everyone!

Dad just completed a 1000 pice puzzle. Takes some patience.
I make do with the WADDB without puzzles. Am dabbling with a super short interactive story without puzzles right now.
Outdoors clouds without much rain. 5 Celsius. Most of the snow is gone but occasional patches remain.

Happy Saturday GameBoomers!

Good Saturday morning. Another nice spring day ahead and then tomorrow night snow and freezing rain and temps in the teens!

Making corned beef and cabbage for supper tonight. Corned beef is only available around this time of the year and I always look forward to it. But once a year is enough!

I guess that's progress with that dratted laptop, hagatha! Wonder how long it will hold stable.

Good morning everyone.

We had hail last night. My ensuite has a skylight so it was quite impressive-sounding. At some point in the night the power went out, too, and it's cold today.

I'm just doing a quick tidy and make up the guest bed; if I do that the day before it becomes covered in cat hair. They can't resist those nice clean sheets and that nice off-white bedspread.

Have to tale a break from Morrowind. I actually had a dream about not having enough filled soul gems. lol zombie

Draclvr, the laptop only has to hold on for another year or so. This year I have major garden expenses coming up, four new shrubs and trees, and I've asked the landscaper to get me 5 foot trees so they'll add structure right away. Plus my lawn needs some major work as it's mostly moss. If I'm going to have a garden it might as well be nice, and I can't manage the work any more. There was a time when John and I enjoyed working in our garden in Burnaby, but those days are long gone.

Anyway, I have my Steam Deck, and that runs most of the newer games I want to play. The laptop is running well for the moment.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. Finished morning dishes and playing with L4L's gaming laptop which was misbehaving for her. Seems to be stable for the moment...time will tell once we fire up Steam and get to gaming. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy WADDB and bagels.

Wishing you all a wonderful day wave

I couldn't agree with the pricing on Corned Beef this year (or last year) so, none for me. I only had two items on my grocery list and one of them really gave my brother a headache. Kimchi in a jar. He hates when I put *unusual* items on the list, but to him, most of the things I like are unusual. I have two recipes I want to try with the Kimchi but they will have to wait until after next weeks shopping trip as I didn't want to get the ingredients if he couldn't find the Kimchi.

I hope you enjoy your puzzle, Gerry. What is the picture? I only do digital puzzles these days and haven't actually been doing those for awhile now.

It's dreary here today but at least the wind has died down. We were under an advisory yesterday.

Have a great Saturday all!

Good afternoon everyone; Kaki's Sister, yes I'm drinking Boost or Ensure which ever is on sale, that stuff is expensive. Don't have much of an appetite but that happens when I get sick.

hagatha: have a wonderful visit with your friend. It's cool here today 9F with snow this evening. Have a great day everyone & stay safe out there.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark brew is ready. wave

Oldbroad the 1000 piece puzzle I am working on is titled "Spring is in the Air" and it has a white owl perched on a pine tree branch. It is a Sunsout puzzle...art by Suzie Seery-Lester. You can probably find an image of it online at the puzzle Warehouse website.

Draclvr I made a corn beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots on Friday...lots of leftovers! StPats

No snow expected here today just clouds, wind and chilly temps. Hope to walk this morning. smile

Enjoy a peaceful Sunday! chocobunny

Whew! That looks like it's going to be a challenge, Gerry! I wouldn't say it's a picture that matches the title though. Looks more like a winter scene to me.

Good morning everyone!

Sunday without sunshine. Yesterday there were even some snowflakes in the rain. WADDB helps the mood.

Good Sunday morning. Yes, soot, that freeze is heading your way after it hits here. We could see a couple inches of snow here tonight. It's very windy and chilly here - typical March Day.

Nothing much on the agenda today... I think spaghetti for supper tonight.

On a "springy" note, my little chili peppers are peeking their heads out in their planter!

Good Sunday afternoon.

I had a great visit with my friend. Last night we got to the restaurant/pub for our reservation and saw a sign saying that the place was closing the next day (i.e. today). We were thinking that they'd be using up what was left in the fridge, but clearly the chef wanted to out with a bang because the meal was wonderful.

As for the laptop, it crashed again. I went through all of the error messages and it shut down. I restarted it and it loaded, but was doing Windows updates. It's done this before, several times. I think it's something about the automatic Windows updates that is crashing the laptop. I've reported all of this to Dell, but I'm going to turn off auto-updates and see what happens.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. wave

We are expecting a severe weather day today...could get up to 5 inches of rain and with high winds gusts expected to 50+ they are expecting power outages. With the ground already saturated from the 4 feet of snow that melted all that rain will cause flooding.

Hagatha, you could be right, it could be the Windows updates are causing some of your crashing issues. I remember updates causing issues for my sister on her laptop...she now has a desktop.

Hope you all have a better weather day! spring
