Match Head Studio Announces "Impirical Evidence", a Comedy Adventure Driven by Logic, Inventory Puzzles, and Supernatural Denial.Check out the trailer here.Check out the game here.ITALY - March 17, 2026 - Independent developer Match Head Studio has officially announced Impirical Evidence, a story-driven 3D point-and-click adventure game coming to PC. Blending the inventory-based puzzle mechanics of 90s classics with modern direct controls, the game invites players to solve mysteries in a highly stylized, cinematic world.
In Impirical Evidence, players take on the role of Arthur Marley, a professional Paranormal Debunker. For twenty years, he has used science, deductive logic, and a healthy dose of arrogance to prove that every ghost is just a projection and every monster is just a well-made costume. He is a man of facts in a world of frauds. He was the best at denying the impossible... until he accidentally summoned it.
Enter Murray: a chaotic, playful, electric Imp. He is bound to Arthur and subject to physics laws, yet he cannot directly interact with the physical world and remains invisible to everyone else.
Despite being physically chained to a literal demon, Arthur stubbornly refuses to believe the paranormal is real, blaming the supernatural chaos on stress, lack of sleep, and faulty wiring. Now, Arthur must continue his investigations while dragging around a supernatural partner he refuses to acknowledge.
Gameplay and Features:
The Skeptic and the Spark: You control Arthur, but you manage the chaos. Use Arthur to explore, collect, use items, talk, and observe. But when logic is not enough, unleash Murray. Direct the electric Imp to short-circuit lights, possess electronics, and trigger mechanisms that Arthur can't use. Inventory-Based Puzzles: This is a game about using your brain and the pockets of your coat. Any object may be useful, even in absurd and questionable ways. No "moon logic", just "lateral thinking".
Classic Soul, Modern Body: There's nothing more fun than classic golden age adventures, but we ditched the mouse cursor in favor of direct control. Explore fluidly with your keyboard or gamepad, even from the comfort of your couch. Squeezing your brain is good, but without frustration.
Happy Gaming!

Thanks Ana! They really shouldn't "ditch the mouse cursor". Not sure how it can be referred to as a "story-driven 3D point-and-click adventure game" but they ditch the mouse.

Yes, that definitely sounds like a contradiction. Why? I’ve always preferred to explore fluidly with the keyboard from my couch rather than using the frustating mouse.
