Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Draclvr I hope hubby is doing well after his surgery and the implant helps. Soot it is early for those pesky bugs, but the high 80s temps, sunny sky, and humidity is just what they like to become active! Hope you all have a great day! Gerry

Good Thursday morning. Fogfighter, we had heavy duty thunderstorms last night with thousands of lightning strikes across the region. We had a tornado warning - meaning rotation has been seen - but it never fully formed into a tornado. Sunny and cooler today, but I'm sure it's muddy out there!
Hubby's surgery went well and he has two large bandages - one over the incision on the chest where the implant is and one in his neck where the lead is placed under the tongue. I guess they somehow run the lead up under the skin. The incision on the neck is really sore because you move your head a lot. He will see the surgeon's office in a week for post-op and then he will be turned back over to the sleep doctor. The will turn the device on in about 30 days and then start making adjustments to get it to work for him correctly. The damage to his heart caused by the sleep apnea cannot be undone, but hopefully this can keep it from getting worse.
Heading out to pick asparagus which bolted up about 2 feet after all the rain last night!

Good morning, all,
Draclvr, I hope the post-op recovery goes well.
It's a gorgeous morning here, but cold. My garden has burst into leaf this past week. I must remind my landscaper about the two trees I'm supposed to be getting.
Today is dance day, so I'll spend a couple of hours reviewing the notes and videos from last week. In last week's class I actually hit a wall where there was one move I could not, for the life of me, learn. That was towards the end of the class, when i was getting tired. It is very good exercise.
This morning I'll pack up some old towels for the local cat rescue.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone, It's sunny and cold again today. It's only mid-April but the fellow from my landscaper who takes care of my sprinklers said he's setting them up to comply with Stage 2 watering restrictions. We didn't get any snow this year, so the restrictions could be quite strict this year. We're also apparently only allowed to wash our cars one specific daya week (as if ) Not much happening today. I'm still going through my closets, doing a deeper dive to root out all those nice things I'm saving for when I somehow magically drop down a size. My closets don't have room for wishful thinking.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday morning. Quite warm right now which is not a good thing as it is just fueling storm cells in the atmosphere which are supposed to potentially be severe later on today. We could also get more torrential rain.
This would NOT be a good thing for the big Spring Fling down at Longmeadow tomorrow! I had to run my little neighbor home from the bus yesterday and it was already a mess down there. There was a lot of damage to the gravel road going down there which is over a mile long. A couple of volunteers were running the tractors with blades and box scrapers to put it all back together before tomorrow. We usually have around 700 people and have to use a couple of the turn-out corrals for parking. They are already muddy. I'll be working down there all day, so it should be interesting!
Hubby took off the surgical bandages and got a shower this morning. The incision on his chest is about 2 inches long and the one on his neck is about 2 1/2 inches long. He's going to be pretty limited on what he can do for a couple of weeks.

oldbroad, your oven temp could be off. That's what happened to mine. They can be recalibrated. My repairman taught me how to do it myself next time. Hey everyone! Business is booming and I've been crazy busy but I read everyday and wish you all well even if I'm not posting! Drac, hope hubby heals fast! My husband had a Watchman installed in his heart two weeks ago. Ana
