Good morning everyone...the weekend is here! We had rain showers off and on all day yesterday and it was great. I can remember when first moving down here back in the 70s you could set your watch based on the popup afternoon showers. Glad you had a great time with family Gerry. I'm ready for WADDB and bagels.

This weekend my goal is to round up every single thing I no longer need or want, pile it in the garage, and have the junk collectors come and get it. The company I use for this sorts things out so that anything that can be donated will be donated, other than clothes. I've been hanging on to things for years. It's time to let them go. Not sure about the big plastic box of fishing lures, though. We had some of those for decades.

Good morning everyone. Grocery shopping is on the docket today to get supplies and meals for the week's stay at the lake. Didn't make the walk this morning as my leg said "no!" So drove to a great spot in the park to run Max and get his daily exercise in. Got home and then it started raining...it's all in the timing (LOL) ... which is great as we really need the water to break the drought! Time for WADDB ... have fun in the Keys Connie !

Good Sunday morning. Starting out cloudy and coolish, but is supposed to warm up into the 80's today. Thankfully for us, no rain in the forecast until later next week. The garden was finally dried out enough for me to get in and replace those 4 tomato plants the deer nipped off.

My only plan for the day is to work on weeds. That 6" of rain has made them start growing with a vengeance.

I didn't get to walk yesterday...it poured all day until 7 pm last night. Showers this morning too so I hope to walk in between.

Good Monday morning. Beautiful day ahead - sunny and warm in the 80's.

Today is Memorial Day in the US. While it is a day set aside to honor and remember our veterans who have served their country and died, it also marks the beginning of summer for us. Lots of people camping and boating and of course, BBQ's pits are going strong.

We are attending the Memorial Day service at our American Legion in town.

I had another walk planned for today but we have howling winds, though no rain. Hopefully the forecast will be correct and it will rain today. If it doesn't rain soon the Stage three watering restrictions may be imposed early.

That being the case, I'm going to laze about the house this morning.
