I decided to skip Pilates this morning and just hang out here with a cup of coffee. Also, my laptop battery should be arriving today by FedEx.

It got into the 90s here yesterday and the air quality was not good. Today the air quality is already worse than yesterday and tonight we are expecting severe thunderstorms.

Draclvr my hubby loved pickled beets. He would have loved your homemade pickled beets for sure! Hagatha did the battery finally arrive from Dell for your laptop yesterday? Hopefully it resolves your issue.

Good Saturday morning. I'm not looking forward to the 90's which I'm sure are coming soon. These mid to upper 80's are quite enough for me!

I have those 7 big beets and the bunch of small one to work up today. I might just can some plain as I also love beets all by themselves with a bit of butter, salt and pepper.

Happy Saturday all! I finally turned the air on this morning. Can't take it anymore and it was good timing since I had already made my brother mad about the groceries. Might as well do it all at one time!

It's been raining for over 12 hours now.

The battery didn't arrive after all. It supposedly will be delivered on the 9th now. Over two months since I ordered it.

I feel like I'm living in Groundhog Day. The pond is still leaking and getting worse. At this point I'm sure there's a break in the water line, which means digging and probably the destruction of a beautiful mature shrub. My garage door, allegedly fixed a month ago, is no longer closing again. And of course there is the laptop.

What I would really like is a two-week break from it all but I have nobody to look after the cats.

Sunday with sunshine already. 23 Celsius.

Emergency use instant coffee available in the break room in case of late night or early morning.

I asked witch to do the cat-sitting but she said she was too busy delivering packages.
She did ask if the cats are black though.

Good Sunday morning. More hot and humid today, but we haven't broken into the 90's yet. I suspect that will happen this week - not looking forward to it.

Got 8 more pints of pickled beets yesterday and I think I'm done! That should last us for a few years!
