Good Monday morning. Had a really nice thunderstorm this morning and some nice rain. Plus it cooled things down a bit.

I've been doing the night closing and feeding at the Ranch this weekend. It was sprinkling rain when I went down at 9:00 last night. I lowered my window to input the gate code and then my driver's side window decided to no longer work! It seems like the glass has come off the track or arm or whatever the mechanism is inside the door. Oh, great! Took me longer than usual because while feeding my two skinny horses, the two old horses and Bubbles the Zebu cow, I had Agatha, a tiny little mini-horse following me around! She had managed to get past the short canvas barrier they use on the stall, so I had to put her back in with her little friend Teddy and close the big door on their stall. So by the time I got to my truck, my seat was wet! Will call to get in and get that fixed ASAP. Had to move my canning table to be able to put the front half of my truck into the garage when I got home at 10:00.

Another hot one here today. The person who invented air conditioning deserves to be rich.

Laundry and a grocery store run on the agenda today. Guess I'll have to just leave my window open while I run into the grocery store!

It's warming up here today. We have a heat advisory in effect...high humidity expected...hope to walk early.

I'm having an issue with my landline...I have fiber optic cable service now...but I guess using a "digital phone" landline with fiber optic can still cause issues!

We are supposed to hit the 90's here today.

Good Wednesday morning. Yes, the AC finally got turned on yesterday. I grew up without it and I guess since we didn't know any better, never thought anything of the heat and humidity! It's sure a life-saver now! I hoed weeds in between my little pepper plants yesterday and it sure felt good when I was done!

Going to get my tomatoes and peppers fertilized today. Unfortunately, the pool isn't quite cleared up yet or I might jump in even though the water is still very cold!

We've had a few days of glorious rain! That won't stop the change to Stage 3 water restrictions, but it will mean everything in the garden has had a nice refresh. It's also been quite cool.

Yesterday I had my entire house cleaned, including the roof and walls and windows. The contractor finished early so they threw in some power washing on the walkways where I hadn't done any yet. This is the first house I've had where moss on the roof is a real issue and I'll have to stay on top of it The place looks great now and I think I'll have this done every three or four years. Next year I'll have the cedar fences cleaned and stained. They're starting to look a bit ratty in places.

The battery for my laptop finally arrived so I'll make an appointment with the local computer repair.

Won't be on my comp. for the rest of the day, my osteo arthritis is very bad today, going to spend the rest of the day in bed reading.

Soot I am having an unusual problem with my landline and the tech who came out wasn't able to fix it. The issue is when I call any company to pay a bill over the phone the AI cannot get my account numbers or "pin" numbers correct. The connection has a pause every few seconds...when the AI speaks not all the words are heard and when I either punch in the numbers on the phone or say them, AI doesn't get them correctly. The tech replaced the modem and rewired the connection and it didn't fix the issue. After all was said and done the "office tech support" informed him that they are having the same issue with other customers and they believe it is a software update that is causing an issue with AI!

The company is testing a "fix" but not sure when it will be ready to be released. Every place you call has AI answering so I hope I can get thru where ever I call!

Our first new car didn't have AC either. Now I can't live without it. Gerry, I hope your phone issues get fixed quickly. Enjoy the day and hug someone.

Good Thursday monning. Oof, another toasty one ahead - in the mid 90's.

Just 2 weeks until the Germans arrive and I have a lot of last minute cleaning to do. My floors have been sorely neglected while we're working outside, so they are first on the agenda.

Judith. hope a day in bed reading helps. Do you have issues with everything hurting more with changes in the barometric pressure? My husband's joints can predict the weather.

Judith, I hope your arthritis calms down. I know how miserable it is when everything hurts.

It's a lovely day, and getting warmer. It's dance day today but I also have to prepare for my trip up to Campbell River tomorrow. I'm staying one night and then have to speed back down here for a noon party with my Pilates group. I'll have to grab some dessert on the way back for the pot luck.

I notice that my pond company has not responded to my email of last Friday. I'm going to pull back some of the soil around the top end to see it there's any sign of water in the soil. I have a suspicion that there is a break in the water line because there's some sagging in the equipment back there that looks like pressure damage, a plastic housing around the UV light that has bent inwards so that the lid no longer fits. In the meantime, I'll run it for a few hours a day and turn it off at night.

Almost 90 again here today. I do like summer a lot more than winter though.

Good morning; Well, I'm up & walking like a scarecrow today, at least I can walk today, & yes Draclvr, my arthritis is worse with the weather, yesterday & today it's damp & humid, weather station is saying more rain again today. I need to go to Arizona where it's hot & dry with no humidity.

Enjoy Campbell River hagatha, my daughter & son-in-law rent a cabin there in the fall, they just love it.

Gerry, your issue with your phone is just confirming why I don't like the Fiber phone connection and find it feels insecure. I hope it get straightened out soon.

One of the main things I was looking for when house shopping was air conditioning. The other was running water. I have replaced the air conditioner (and furnace) twice since moving here which seems quite ridiculous to me. As for the plumbing - well, not one piece of it works as it should anymore but I can't do much with it right now.

Judith, I hope you're feeling better today.

We are under a "moderate" (level 4 of 5) storm risk until 10 pm tonight. A strong storm went through yesterday causing damage in some areas. I wish I could just sleep through it all.
