It's a lovely morning and a good day for a drive. I don't like leaving the cats alone overnight but from their perspective as long as there's enough food in the bowl it'll be all right., and they have each other. It's supposed to be hot this weekend so I'll put the air conditioning on just in case.

Gerry, I haven't had time for the new battery but the last technician I spoke to at Dell is convinced that the problem is actually the connection between the battery and the motherboard. I have an email from him to take to the local tech.

Good Friday morning. Grateful for a break in the heat for the next few days.

Helped hubby with scrubbing the bottom of the pool this morning. It's usually not this dirty, but we had so much dry weather and wind last fall.

Almost done with getting the bedroom ready for the Germans. I'm going to the next town over which has a Kohl's. I really need to get a bunch of new pillows for the beds. Then will stop at the local nursery to see what they have for my seven big pots out back. I had some Sunpatiens last year and just loved them.

Just got back from my trip to Campbell River and made it home in record time. Nobody on the highway this morning. Took my CRV off the Econo setting and let it rip. It's pretty darn fast!

Somehow I left the main gate open, and I see that while I was away the pond guys were here and did something else, so hopefully they found the problem, but what I really appreciate is that they added a couple things and it really looks very pretty, some small river rock and a large rock at the edge that wasn't there before.

Now I have to rush off to a brunch party. I'm awfully tired, but fortunately it will be over at 2 pm. It's potluck but I had no time to cook so I picked up some pastries from a pastry shop in C.R. that has wicked good baked goods.

Good Sunday morning. Overcast here and possibility of more storms this afternoon. I heard thunder in the middle of the night, but I don't think we got much rain.

Lazy day here too. Just have a lot of piddly things to do around the house.

It'll be a lazy Sunday here. I have to go out later to pick up a large pot for a lavender plant and some groceries but otherwise I'm staying put.

Nothing much going on here, just a lazy day today, I'm still aching from arthritis so just reading & re-playing the vacation adventures cruise director & park ranger.
