Good Sunday morning. Hoo boy, we're paying for that nice weather we've been having. Heading to the mid to upper 90's today and the rest of the week.
Not much on the agenda today. The Germans have already made their first obligatory shopping trip to Wal Mart! They do a LOT of shopping while they are here and even venture into St. Louis to the malls. I'm thinking spaghetti and meatballs for supper tonight. Then they are on their own for the rest of the week. They pretty much take care of themselves while they are here. They had their walk and a dip in the pool this morning and Guenter is now making their breakfast.

Good morning.
The garage opener light does work properly after all, but it's really hard to catch it in the "off" position since a millisecond after I open the door into the garage from the house the light switches on. I only realized it was turning off when I went outside to take out some garbage and noticed it through the window. The complaints must have been about the fact that i moved things around in there.
Speaking of Dude, he has gone from a timid little scaredy-cat to, at the age of 14, being a confident boy who will allow people to pet him instead of running away and hiding. I'm really proud of the little guy for overcoming his fear of people at such an advanced age.
After our much-needed rain we're back to full-on sunshine. I woke up very late this morning and am about to go outside with my coffee to sit on the patio and catch some morning rays on my face. Then I have another glorious day of doing nothing at all except read a book.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Hagatha glad the garage light is not an issue and Dude is just being Dude...likes things his way! Sounds like we all are in for some extremely hot days this week. We are expecting upper 90s starting Wednesday with an extreme heat watch in effect....not walking weather for sure! Hope you all have a good start to your week! Gerry

Good Monday morning. Yup, SUPER toasty around the country this week!
May I nominate air conditioning as the most revolutionary invention of the century!

Good morning everyone,
We're in for a week of cloud and possibly rain, and the temperatures are going to be in the mid-teens this week. I do love sunny days but I, too, hate hot weather. I sleep better when it isn't hot.
This house has a heat pump so I have air conditioning throughout the house, and we installed a heat pump in our last house after a scorching summer that was very hard on John. In fact, having a heat pump or central air was one of my absolute requirements for a house when I was looking.
I have another wonderful day of no responsibilities except for running down to the store for some milk and vegetables.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
