Around the world, Jul 22, 2026 — Indie developer Pixel Ghost today announced that Life's Too Short, a little adventure game starring a problem-solving ghost, is now available on Steam. The full release follows a short and sweet demo that debuted during Steam Next Fest in June 2026.
In Life's Too Short, players step into the role of a helpful little ghost called in to settle a feud between two vampires who have dramatically fallen out. What follows is a compact, characterful adventure full of puzzles, personality, and a wonderfully dry humour.

The game's arrival on Steam caps an unusual three-platform journey. Life's Too Short first took shape on Playdate, Panic's distinctive yellow handheld with its hand crank, before being reborn as a fully playable Game Boy title — later bundled with the CrankBoy emulator app — and now making the leap to PC.
