Good Thursday morning. Very cool this morning, but the humidity is 87%. Mad SO glad you finally have some relief from your terrible weather.
Yesterday I put a bunch off paste tomatoes through my nifty electric Italian tomato press and made pizza sauce. Simmered it down until it was nice and thick and added the seasonings. Put it in the fridge last night and will can it today.
Tonight is the first night of league bowling. Not sure if I'm ready for it because it means summer is winding down.
When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. It rained here all night and is supposed to clear around 8am. I should be able to walk today. The greatest pleasure at my age is to be able to take long walks with two of my neighbors...the 3 of us are in our 80s now...I'm the oldest! The country road we walk on is hilly and has state forest on both sides...it is a lovely place to walk. There are several challenging hills along the way. I hope everyone's weather keeps improving! Have a Happy Friday everyone! Gerry

Good morning everyone...ah, WADDB and bagels...what a great treat to come home too after my walk...it's hot again. Your country road sounds marvelous Gerry. Totally understand Connie, walking alone is workout. Think of it this way...you're walking with a very quiet companion who never complains about your choice of route. Off to the vet later this morning for our monthly check-up and might even end up on a grocery run...time will tell. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Friday morning. A beautiful coolish morning, but it will get back up to 90 today - which is perfect for me!
As usual, I did much too well at bowling last night.. If I start out with a high average, there is nowhere to go but down!
Getting a small box together to send to my granddaughter at Colorado State University. It was her birthday Wednesday - both my youngest granddaughters turned 20 this summer! She told me she is out of my hot sauce and needed a restock. I have a few bottles left from last year, so am sending them to her new house up there. Also sending along some "cowboy candy" I made with some of the jalapenos. I sliced about a dozen jalapenos and smoked them on my pellet grill for about a half hour. Then I simmered them down with apricot preserves, brown sugar, cider vinegar, garlic and some black pepper to make a thick sticky sauce. It's really good and not too spicey. It would make some killer wings or be good on a burger.
When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

Good morning everyone,
Connie, I know what you mean. I got quite bored with walking my neighbourhood alone after my walking companion started to walk her dog at 6:00 am, which is far too early for me. I do go for the occasional long walk in one of the local parks every now again. It's one of the reasons I started the dance class. I need that cardio!
Not much on the agenda today. I got word that all the parts for my computer have arrived and I suppose it's being built now. I have all the peripherals ready to go.
I'm off to Pilates.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
