70 minutes in and this is really quite creepy.

As Ana's announcement said ,"you wake up in an asylum with no memory of who you are or how you got there. ... Wander in the dark and find the truth."

Which is what I have been doing. That the asylum does weird stuff - doors lock behind you, corridors change, items appear where they weren't before - adds to the challenge.

I have read notes, watched a film and gathered items. Puzzling has been a mix of inventory based, and finding and understanding and then applying the clue/s in the game world. With respect to the inventory, you can see what you have via the TAB button, but having an item is enough for it to be used, so there is no inventory management.

It plays in the first person and is keyboard dominant. WASD moves you around, although the mouse can steer, and other keys do everything else.

Visually it has been black and white to date, and nicely detailed. Sound is minimal and all the more impactful when it occurs. There is no soundtrack and limited effects. A small white dot centre screen is your cursor. Small blue dots on items indicate something to interact with. Get close enough and an F will pop up which is the interact key.

It exclusively autosaves and to a single save point. A bit more frequently would be my preference.

I am very much invested in what is to come.

I had seen grisly things scuttling around but have just encountered the first one that can kill me.
The fact I can hide in lockers was perhaps an indication something like this was coming eek
