I had to look Punzel up. It looks cute!

I'm nearing the end of The Next Big Thing (I think). I didn't care for it too much at first but it has grown on me.

Punzel is REALLY a simple cute game!

I liked The Next Big Thing! Liz Alaire is a Living Doll!

Hi all..

In searching through my old files - I found "Outcry" -- I don't know why I never installed it - but I just started it today.. so it's Dimhaven on back burner and Outcry ahead by a nose !!

Yipee !

I'll be interested to hear how you like Outcry. I have never played it yet either but have the disc installed on my Windows 7 computer.

I finished The Next Big Thing a few days ago but haven't started anything yet. Thinking about Shadows on the Vatican: Act 1 Greed since I never played these games either, but I haven't totally made up my mind yet.

I have mixed feelings about Outcry, oldbroad. The scenes look like everything is rusty and lifeless. I could deal with that, I guess. The puzzles are ok but they give you no indication if you solved them or not, i.e. you turn a number of valves but you do not get any feedback from your character like " That did it ! " etc. You have to search to see your progress. There is a bit more reading than I would have liked.

I will stick with it anyway ! It is an adventure game with puzzles, exploration, and a story of sorts.

I hope you enjoyed Next Big Thing !

Thanks for the feedback on the game, sureshot. I did like The Next Big Thing more as I went along in the game. The ending - not sure if I liked it.

I still haven't started anything new and now I'm thinking about Riddlewood Manor next. I'm hoping to figure it out today.

Well, I decided to go with Riddlewood Manor. I started it 4 days ago (after my last post) and have about 5 hours played. It's an interesting, but also frustrating at times, game. It is an escape room game with a comic horror theme. You do die and I guess sometimes you actually have to in order to progress in the game. You do lose some progress but not all of it. After you die you choose where to go back into the game but when I was stuck and just had to exit out, I just ended up back where I was stuck but had to replay a couple of puzzles which I had trouble doing. I eventually got them and then I died again. I haven't gone back in but I'm pretty sure this is a good death. I don't think I'll have to go back in that same area to repeat anything as the game did save first, but I'll find out tomorrow. I won this game last year in Mystery Manor's Halloween Tournament.
