I looked through the massive threads on Witcher but seem to be the only person who is having trouble finding several items.

I have all but one of the ten "tokens" needed to open the mage's tower in the swamp. Is there a list of where these can be found?

Also I need to collect some parts from the echinoids (plant creatures) in the swamp for the hospital gardener. Does anyone know where I can find a book or scroll that gives me this knowledge in the Bestiary so I can collect the parts?

And finally, is the Bestiary the same as the list of Monsters in your Journal?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi wownut smile

You can go here:

http://www.gamebanshee.com/thewitcher/walkthrough.php

for an excellent walkthrough of The Witcher.

Of course, there's also the official *witcher* forums:

http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/

Then there's a forum on rpgwatch found here:

http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/

where you can ask for help.

And yes, I believe (or think?) that the bestiary is the same as the monsters in your journal. Except that Bestiary seems to be the full listing of all the monsters in the game, while the monsters in your Journal only gets updated when you learn something about them.

For the bestiery entry for Echinops you need to read curses and the cursed which you can buy from the Antiquary in the area in front of Shani's house.

As far as the last tower Sephirah you don't get that until you do all the quests for the detective. He has the final Sephirah.

You beat me to it, oldman! The Sephirah will be given to you by the detective when you have satisfied all his quests.

Yes, what Oldman said. You do have to do some other things in the game before that sequence kicks in where you get that final card, like narrowing down your suspects. I was surprised the second time I played through that chapter when it didn't come up as fast as the first time, but I had taken a different route to get to that point. The autopsy and what you do to prepare for it makes a big difference, and who you have accused does as well (dialog choices). Are you enjoying the game?

Edit: Haha Drac, you got in there while I was being long winded!

Thanks for the help everyone - that is great. I found the Antiquary in the marketplace finally, he is a dwarf and I didn't see him the first two times I visited the place. (No short jokes please.....)

It is a good game, I am enjoying it so far and it seems quite stable after playing Gothic 3!
