mrbill, there is a ton of stuff out there on this malware. It is pretty new, so some software doesn't have it blocked yet. You could try to get rid of it with your anti-virus software, but what I'm reading suggests you will have to get rid of it through Hijack This as Jenny suggested. Hijack This is a free download. Save it to its own folder on the C drive. Before you run it, you should do a good cleaning with your anti virus, your anti apyware and either CCleaner or through your disc cleanup option in Windows. Run Hijack This and save the log in Word Pad or something like that. Then post at bleepingcomputer or castle cops. You might be surprised at what else they might find!

Hi Folks, I finally got rid of the braviax problem. Before my computer got infected I had already decided to upgrade from Norton Internet Security 2005 to 2008 so I ordered it and it was on backorder. It arrived about 8 days ago. My subscription to 2005 ends tomorrow so I downloaded the new Norton Removal Tool which worked beautifully. I then installed 2008, restarted computer, ended process of braviax.exe (Ctrl, Alt, Del), activated NIS and then uploaded some 37 MB of upgrades. Once that was finished I ran a full system scan. It removed 2 files, some cache and cleaned 2 places in registry. It called this pesty High risk malware Trojan.Packed.13. Things look better now. Bill
