I have a bunch of old saves and I had to go to Dev Null's house just to listen to the music for awhile! Nothing like talking to an insane Malkavian vampire...

Remember that REALLY big monster at the end of the Tzimisce Castle? I've always had to resort to godmode to beat him. But this time
Click to reveal..
I built up Serena's Fireball skill and she just stood in the doorway and kept firing fireballs at him. Of course, I had to have a ton of blood for her, but it worked!
I feel like an idiot, but I just started using Spirit's touch this time around to identify stuff...

I was so happy I didn't have put together my file cabinet. Just the small cheapo shelf unit for my games was bad enough...

I think I finally did that when I played, but I hate using disciplines when I am low on blood. How did you get the console to work when you are using the patch? I thought you could have one or the other. Without the patch you can only save at the haven, that sure wouldn't work in the Teutonic Knight Base. Maybe I should try it again, I would love to have full health.

Do you have any idea what those Greek Fire things do? I have four of them, but when I try clicking on something I get the "X".

The Greek Fires are awesome. You pick one up and throw it at an enemy with a left click (I think). Massive fire damage...

I always was able to use godmode even with the patch when I played before.

Maybe I will try those fire things in Haus de Heux, hopefully I don't miss and enflame my coterie. I tryed the console and Serena still died, I think you have to click on each character, then type in the code. I tryed it on "revive" and each of them came back with full health and blood, neat. So if I don't make it through this base, I will go back to where I am now and cheat my way out. I just don't want to play this part over again.

I guess I only played Christof in godmode. Never thought of the rest of them. In the other games I played, I left the Coterie back in the corridor and killed the monster thingie only with Christof. I agree - between this one and the sunlight one you want to just get the heck to New York! I'm there now trying to get out of the Society of Leopold.

I think BB has played this already, but some time ago. I needed a point and click (due to a sore wrist from Ratatouille) but wasn't ready to return to Adventure yet. Does anyone else wish that the coterie could keep up with Christoph? They can get sooo far behind, leaving me to fight alone.

I probably will continue to play tomorrow, most of the papers are now in their new cabinet. I am sick of doing that chore already and need some play time. But then again, I don't want to get too far ahead of Mad, I can always play Fable for awhile.

Hi smile

Hopefully I'm back in play now grin

I paid my first brief visit to Haus de Hexe last night .... Went through the R Hand door and my whole party was very quickly slaughtered by all the Tremere types shocked

Is it better to go through a particular door first or are they all difficult ?? scared

Cheers.

They're ALL difficult, Mad. Save the middle one for last. I got slaughtered several times too!

My Coterie seems to stay with me OK. Once in a while one will get stuck behind a door or something, but they catch up eventually. I did have to go back and rescue Serena who was stuck in one of the barred doors.

Hi smile

Well, couldn't do it .... Had to use "God Mode" in the end .... But I only used it on one character for a brief time.
Made all the difference though and I have finished the area through the R Hand door now grin

I was surprised that a cheat would work seeing as I have the patch installed but it did, and it decidedly saved my bacon lol

[BTW. There are several Redemptions AND Bloodlines available at the Game Trading Zone - and some members are willing to sell if you have nothing to trade.]

Cheers.

Chaos, if you are willing to buy Bloodlines on eBay, there are a lot of auctions going on for the game there and they don't all look like they are going to cost an arm and a leg. laugh

I resorted to God Mode also Mad, I just wanted to get the Ainkurn sword and get out of the Teutonic Knight base. I got mobbed by that bunch of knights near the sword and got sick of it. I don't know how I managed to do it on my first play, maybe I was less distracted by "real life". So I went back into two levels of the base to get the spoils, sold them all, bought blood and am standing outside the Haus de Heux. But I have to check on my dinner simmering upstairs, so may not play. I will un God mode myself since I have the trusty sword and see if I do any better here. Revive is kind of neat also, but you have to keep doing it, at least you don't have to feed them tons of blood as when you use Awaken.

I have a PM in to a person on another site who was selling Bloodlines recently, I don't think it was sold yet.

I agree Mad, when I played this game some years ago on an older, but not ancient computer (XP) but not fast, I did not have the problems that I do on my fast gaming computer. Who knows, but I have no qualms about rescuing myself after many fights ending with the coteries deaths. Don't they look disgusting when dead?

How do you like the Ainkurn Sword, off with their heads? Just a heads up here, don't know if you read the w/t or not, but
Click to reveal..
Strip Eric of his good stuff as you will lose him at the end of H de H, plus the same thing will happen with Wil and Serena, I just forget when. Chris will be the only one that goes to modern days.

When you lose Erik, you will get to pick up all of his stuff that's in his inventory. If Christof or Serena needs blood though, give it to them first as poor Erik won't need it anymore. cry

Only peek, Mad, if you want to know what happens in the Haus de Hexe! I haven't had to resort to godmode yet, but that Ainkurn sword sure helps. I'm in my favorite place in this game right now - the Tower of London. Next to the basement in the Ocean Hotel in Vampire Bloodlines, the Tower of London is the scariest and creepiest place ever...

[And now I am licking my wounds and contemplating my next move yes]

Wow !! Draclvr and hawkavonpuka - you don't half get around fast !!
But nice to follow in your footsteps .... eventually lol lol

Ah, but I remember how it was playing this game the first time! I was exactly like you... This is my 4th time through and I'm learning all kinds of new stuff this time...

Soon you will join us in London and finally New York.

I am not fast, I just started H de H, went in, killed two Tremeres, then died. Tomorrow is another day, today I had other things to work on, not as fun, but had to be done.

Mad make sure you let us know when you get to the Castle, after returning to Prague. There is a major spoiler that you have to be aware of as there is a monster that you won't want to go against more than once. I don't remember if you have time after killing it or if the game throws you right into a cut scene.

Hi smile

Well, I had to give housework a miss the last couple of days so I used a fair bit of my time playing Redemption !! evil

I didn't experience any major problem in the castle, hawkavonpuka, and am now in London and just about to start the quest for Lucretia's heart.
[It seems really weird to be picking up things like a motorcycle helmet and a chainsaw !! lol]

I have stayed with my blood sapping sword bravo and equipped my little team with swords/axes as well.
They didn't do very well with the guns nor could I fathom how to use ammo. I had lots of it - in inventory and in my quick slots - but the guns just registered as empty all the time, once they had became empty woozy

Great game and I'm enjoying myself very much happydance

Cheers.

Again I didn't play at all as we went down to Kona. Didn't find any good games to jump into my cart and got home about 7pm. Mad I didn't know if you knew about losing Serena and Wilhelm, now it is catchup time for me. I like modern days the best and I too ran about the streets with my old-fashioned sword. Chainsaws will come in handy later and flamethrowers are a must have.

So, Mad, how did you beat the huge Vozhd at the end of the castle? I never could beat him without godmode, but this time I leveled up Serena's Flamethrower skill and she just stood in the doorway and hammered him with fire until he died. Took a boatload of blood!

Have fun with the ever-so-lovely Settites! Next you will have my favorite place in the game - The Tower of London. Very creepy...

Hi Draclvr smile

I had to use God Mode on that biggie AND on the werewolf after getting Lucretia's heart from the Tower .... either that or Game Over lol

My next trip is to go back below the Brothel and deal with Lucretia again, apparently.
Even though I already have her heart woozy

Wicked !! evil

Cheers.
