Anyone else have a problem installing?? I installed the whole thing and it never asked me for the second disk- but it said it was done. Then when I try to launch it says no DVD found. Granted I have a lite pc- but I meet all the requirements.

Did you have the second disc in the drive when you tried to start it? Some games install from one disc and play from the other.

Hi challis3

I had posted the same problem...A day ago...My thread got deleted cause I found the problem, but now you have the same problem...I installed OK ..with the first disc...Then I went to run the game..It said ERROR no DVD disk found...So Then I read the manual...It said you have to put the second disc in to run the game....Also you have to install their Directx...It has files for their game...

Go to their folder..look for the folder REDIST on disc 1..Look for the installation

Let us know if that worked...If not uninstall & re- install..Make sure you install their DirectX files...

Luv Dar

Challis3,
Can you browse the second CD (whichever CD you didn't use to start the game) on your drive?
Do you see files on the CD?

You need to tell us.....

1. What operating system you're using.
2. What video card you have
3. What version of drivers you're running
4. The driver "date".

Click start-->run-->type dxdiag-->click ok, then click the display tab to find the information.

According to the requirements listed at
http://www.lighthouse-interactive.com/Overclocked-Productgame

The game requires at least
DirectX® 9-compliant video card Shader Model 1.1

According to this
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-014257.htm
your chipset does support shaders.

Since your drivers are almost 3 years old, that may be the problem.
I think this is where you can drivers for your chipset

Wow- thanks for all the leg work Jenny. I attemoted to download an update for my driver, and I got:
The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the approprite driver from the computer manufacturer.

Does this mean I should go to Dell? I have a laptop and as you can probably tell, I have never attempted to upgrade my driver or anything before. Any suggestions?

If you have a Dell laptop, look for drivers here
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

Dell has a page with instructions ***here***

What model laptop do you have?

Unfortunately the system requirements don't always tell you everything. I doubt very seriously if those integrated graphics are going to be adequate to play this game. Also, the manufacturer's driver support for laptop video cards or IGPs is very poor. The most recent drivers Dell has will probably be about as old as the laptop itself.

It is true that after installing with the first disk it does not ask for the second disk. You are required to have disk 2 in the drive to play.

Thank you guys so much for your help- I know it's a [blip] shoot with this laptop and newer games- I'll be getting a desktop by the end of the year, so Overclocked will just go in to the to be played at a later date pile!!

Your Cougar engine error has nothing to do with disc 2. Your video driver is too old, you have to install newer one. I tried running Overclocked with 5.11 Catalyst driver and game crashed every 5 seconds with Cougar engine error. When I switched to 8.3 game didn't crash once.
