Huh. I tried the local dope. Geralt falls flat on his back, then gets up 1500 orens or so lighter. Good thing I thought to check my inventory.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Wait, skooma? I didn't come across that either. That's a little bow to the Elder Scrolls series as Skooma is a derivative of moon sugar mentioned somewhat in Morrowind and quite a bit in Oblivion. lol How cool...

It's not really called Skooma in Witcher. But what's the difference? Skooma by any other name...

Anyway, Geralt has learned his lesson, and will stick to beer from now on.

I'm playing on dificult, and it ismore diffficult insofar as there are no combat cues. In a one-on-one fight, it doesn't matter, but clearing out a basement full of Graveirs is a different story altogether. But i just realized that levelling is slower on difficult, which kind of ruins my plans for getting to a higher level than last time. Still, I'm no sure you actually can get to anything higher than level 40 anyway.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

oops It's called fisstech in this land, and Hagatha is right, Skooma by any other name! lol

Skooma at least gave you some stat boosts, along with some rather unfortunate negative side-effects. But Fisstech, she don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie. You fall down, someone steals all your money, and then you see the world through a pleasant haze for a time. None of the fake bulletproof bravado of booze, none of Skooma's buffed-up craziness, just...a haze.

Geralt bought the upgraded armour, and is now short on cash in spite of his poker winnings. He's had to supplement his earnings by seeling Fisstech. Tsk. I'm not sure about this lad.

I'm definitely going neutral this time. I've been playing closer attention to the dialgue, and those nonhumans are really not all that noble, no better than the humans, really. They're both a bunch of louts. That hasn't stopped Geralt from taking quests from everbody, though.

And hey, I lost my steel witcher's sword somewhere. I've got a decent replacement, but I wonder when that happened? Anyway, I'll soon have that good sword from the Swamp, so it doesn't matter.

Did you get the really good sword from The Lady of the Lake, it is a good one when you finish the quest for her.

You can get to legendary Witcher at level fifty.

I stopped playin this game cause I couldn't decide in 'blue eyes' in chapter three, and am playin other games on other consoles too. I just played again a while ago thinkin I would just remain neutral but I ended up takin vampires' side. But the problem is when I looked into my journal, the quest had a cross beside it and NOT a check mark, probably cause the lady night got killed. Did this happen to u guys? If u were able to save her, did the quest get a check mark or a red cross? What did u get in journal when u chose to be neutral?

If I failed a quest or someone died and I could not save them, my journel got a red cross it it and not a check mark.

Good Luck

Level 50, huh? That's an awful lot of Drowners and Blortzeigers. I'm not sure I have the patience. What's with those 'zeigers, anyway? They've got no heads -- how can they see Geralt?

lol They were funny creatures. I think it would be an awful lot like work getting to that level.
Hugh, none of the ladies died when I did that sequence, but I imagine I failed the quest since I got the info from the brother in the first place and ended up not helping him. Why would that make you stop playing?

I stopped playin cause I couldn't decide weather to side w/ the vampires or stay neutral. Couldn't decide which one is less evil. I wasn't siding w/ patrick though. I'm so indecisive

But you're missing so much by not playing on, hugh! It really doesn't make any difference how you choose; all it does is influence some of your gameplay later. It's really a very minor quest in the game...

Argh. Fistech...again.

Coleman is dead, and now I need Fisstech for the jailer. I had some and dropped it in the Swamp to make room. Now I'm prowling the streets looking for Salamanders, and there aren't any, night after night.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

AAhhhh, a junkie looking for a fix! rotfl

Can you go back to the swamp to pick it up? I'm not sure about this, but doesn't Thaler sell it too? Or was that Coleman? If not, well, I guess you have to just keep killing salamadras and searching the bodies.

I sure hope the upgrade comes out soon... gimme gimme gimme!

oops! Sorry about Coleman! blush

I've spent quite a while looking for Salamanders but they aren;t spawning any more.

I guess I'll go to the Swamp and make my choice. Am I right in remembering that you can get werewolf fur from one of the characters you kill in the Swamp? I won't take it from THE werewolf, but I was pretty sure there was another source (which I missed, in the last game)

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Unfortunately the one werewolf is the only source for that fur. Never could bring myself to kill it, so I missed out on that potion. Anyone who did, was the potion worthwhile?

yeah Looney, someone did sell fisstech but I've forgotten who - I think maybe you're right about Thaler having it. I just remember being surprised when it came up in the trading window.

Hugh-

I talked to the lady of the night (blue eyes) twice, first to see if it was her then he slept with her, then after he confirmed talked to her brother, he wanted her back. Geralt went back and told her to go home, she went out of the house after argueing and was never seen again, just poof. I have no idea where she went, looked for her, but did no good.

Hmm. I think that werewolf potion is the one that gives you the 100% increase in spell power at night. It's probably pretty powerful. Now, Geralt is a monster-killer for hire. That's what he does. Vincent does cover Geralt's back when the Salamandra come for him, and since Vincent isn't a contract for Geralt, there's no reason to kill him.

In my last game it made sense for Geralt to spare him because I had decided to side with the nonhumans.

Having said that, if I were going to play on the side of the Order, I would kill Vincent and probably Adda, too.

But in this game I am going to remain neutral, so I won't, potions or no.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
