Ok- now I have not done this to this game - but this is what I would do-- it says it is a self extracting file so I would click on and start it- it will either find the game file or when it starts it will ask where to put it-- and have an area where you can browse and find the file- if so- locate the file Phanasmagoria and drop it in there==

I'll have to give this a shot as well - how does the game look visually?

Inland...The game is in full screen...The visual is not perfect.

Let me try & compare it to a little better graphics then Discworld..Plus before the patch the mouse was sticky...Now there is no sticking at all..

Hi InlandAZ

I replayed the Phantasmagorias not to long ago and there is a big difference in how the graphics look between using a LCD and a CRT monitors. This actually came on the advice of Jenny100 with lower resolution games looking much better on CRT's and in this case it was true with me. I ended up not replaying this in XP with LCD and opted to play it on a Win98se with a 17" ViewSonic FlatPanel CRT and the game looked just like I remembered it when first released.

My suggestion, if you have a CRT monitor give it a try

Yup - my LCD's now out number my CRT's smile

Nearly all my vintage games are played under some form of emulation these days, in a windowed environment at their original resolutions (whenever possible).

I keep meaning to replay Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh under Virtual PC, my last play (using Inferno's setup) had several sound issues. Hopefully they'll disappear under VPC. It’s either that or blow the dust bunnies off one of the vintage PC’s.

I'll still have to look a see what this guy did to get to full screen - because the game was rendered at 640x480 (IIRC). This is the same guy that wrote the Gabriel Knight installer, which works fairly well. So another option is always welcome.
