Hi all, This game seems to be available now from EB Games. I wonder how difficult the combat will be. It looks interesting from the trailer.

Is this video showing battle the same that you linked to? I'm curious about the difficulty as well - it sounds like an interesting game. Pretty cursor anyway. Here are some links to a few previews.

Yes Nickie it is the same trailer. From the previews (thank you) it appears that it will be similar to Diablo in the hack and slash department. What remains to be seen is the difficulty and the save system. Maybe there will be a decent review once people have actually played it. I always hate to be one of the first, I would rather hear from others who have played it.

Maggie it is definitely point and click and it seems to be a pretty decent game. I just downloaded the demo and have been playing for a while. The combat is just click on the enemy and you hit them you also have a pixie to go with you and give you advice. There are also stones that you can transport back and forth and the pixie told me that if I die I'll be revived at the last stone I clicked on. Fortunately, I haven't died yet so the combat may be something I can handle. The problem with the download though is that it's 1.75 gig and it took me about 4 hours with DSL. The demo is also available here. I saw that it is available at interactCD now so I might just get it.

Hmm, did you try both links? If you can't get to either you can just go to www.gamespot.com and then search for legend the hand of god and you'll find the demo link that way. I'm also hoping to run into her during the game.

HI- The second link opened and it was the long wait for download, so I have just ordered it from Amazon, no shipping charges, which is nice. You have a wonderful eye for beauty, true beauty. I hope there is a really good looking guy like Geralt from The Witcher. I will let you know when I get my game and tell you how it is, I will most likely start a thread needing helppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs maggie

Well I've gone as far as I can with the demo so I ordered the game from InteractCD. I've played another game that is almost like this but I can't remember the name. When you save and load it takes you back to the most recent rune stone you've activated. You can teleport between all stones and you can collect stones to teleport from anyplace. If you die you're taken back to the last stone you activated. Like I said there was another game I played that had the same save system but I can't remember what it was now.
Anyway you pick up side quests along the way heading towards your main quest like most rpg's. You choose two paths and level up towards those. I chose warrior and magic so I became a battle mage. I don't remember all the paths but there is an evil path.
I've done all I can on this demo so will now have to wait for the real thing to come along.
This game will fill my RPG time whilst waiting for Witcher Enhanced and/or Sacred II whichever comes first.

Well my Legend Hand of God came in and I have played it for a while and gotten to level 6. It is as I expected from playing the demo. A like it a little better than Titan Quest but am dying a little more often. The good news is that when you die you just go back to your most recent portal you've activated. (I think I already mentioned that you can teleport between portals). The bad news is that every time you save and load again you also go back to the most recently activated portal. In other words there are no saves.
Everything is done with the mouse. You right click to use weapon open things and talk. You assign your right mouse button to either use magic or perform whatever skills you have available. You earn those skills/magic by a level up tree.
I am a Battle Mage again as I was in the demo.
You also need certain skills or levels to use different pieces of equipment as with most games of this type.
You laugh because I'm different I laugh because you're all the same

Wasn't Dungeon Siege 2 like that? That's how I remember it anyway. I sure like where you can save at will better.

There isn't a Prima or a Brady guide for this game. It's pretty new, so your best bet will be to keep an eye on a site like gamebanshee.com for one to appear.

catsmom and Nickie Thanks for letting me know. I just recieved my game, have to go to Tucson tomorrow, so I will wait till Sunday to put it on. I have Direct x 10 on mine, hope there will not be a problem, it is suppose to play on Vista. Will be nice when a game guide comes out, I am always missing something and generally never find all until I have played through 3 or 4 times. Good thing I like RPG as much as I do. _________________________________________________________________ I have put the game on and just love it, I like the map, so far it has crashed on me twice, I think it did not like my direct x 10, so put on the 9.0c, then it played fine, then it just crashed and made a funny bleeping sound and I took it out and closed it down. Will fiddle with it Sunday. Must say, Hope they have patches out soon for these problems, but the game is great, I love the guys in green and the big monsters are even better. Finding great armour and other things. I am using a trainer from cheathappens. thanks maggie Thanks maggie :summer:
